7:30am-6pm...I've had worse.
Sep. 9th, 2008 08:48 amMonday - Got up and headed off to school - scored on a parking spot at Grape and Third. Played on Facebook during legal skills, which prompted Dennis to follow suit. Had the meeting for Pride Law, which went well...they had salad for their vegan option, except that they couldn't vouch for the dressing on the side. They tried, and it was their first time trying, so I just had that and was happy. Not so much the girl who was allergic to eggs. She was kind of a bitch about it. Anyway, I meant to do my Criminal Law homework after, but I laid down on the couch on across from my classroom and just couldn't focus. Big mistake...I understood what the teacher was saying, but of course, had no idea about the names he was talking about to illustrate his point. Went straight up to CivPro tutoring afterwords, which didn't last long, then off to my therapy appointment. I shared the good news about my ring, and the awkward news that Ken seemed less excited than me. She theorized that he might have given me a promise ring, instead of an engagement ring. Also talked about my fuck-up the night of, when he asked if I blamed him, and I foolishly said "no". Headed home after that to find that my wonderful Ken had bought vegan probiotic pills for me, and started dinner. D'awww.....clarified about the ring, but he insisted it was an engagement ring, and that his lack of enthusiasm for telling folks was just his being a private person. Dinner was Grilled Eggplant with rice, salad, and a glass of wine. Really great stuff, although he made something of a fuss about it: "Who got you vitamins? And who checked to make sure they were vegan? Who? Who made you dinner? Who? And who made sure there was no honey in the dressing? Who?" I had one more glass of wine after my first, and then I purred on his lap watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. Of course, I have less than no interest in watching it, but I figured I owed him at least that much for being so great after my long-ish day.
