I Eat Everything
Sep. 4th, 2008 10:02 amWednesday - Lucked out with parking, which was good because my ankle was not having it. Briefed my cases for my first class, which went by much faster than I thought it was going to, and then headed off to it. I kind of felt disappointed that I wasn't called on, and when I did ask a question, it was misinterpreted. Meh. Everyone else went to lunch, but I had my LexisNexis training class. I thought that I was going to be late for the training, since class got out at 12:05, but it started at 12:15 instead of 12, so I was fine. The class was slightly overcrowded, and I guess he kicked people out who were not on the roll sheet. I also guess that my name wasn't on the roll sheet, but I can't say either for 100%, since I wasn't really paying attention. The teacher was nowhere near as good as the Westlaw course, but I'll use both and see which I prefer. Arrived to the next class just in time...the lecture was interesting, but I found it a little crowded and rushed.
Stopped at Whole Foods on the way home and picked up rice and oatmeal. I was going to go over to Chipotle, since Ken said that zoo members got a free burrito, but the traffic was terrible trying to get over there, and the parking was no better. Also stopped at Henry's, but they were out of TVP, so I didn't get anything. Back at home, I ate the last of my TVP, and then about a swimming pool full of oatmeal. Savory, sweet, it didn't matter. I was really just exhausted, and should have just laid down, but of course I didn't do that. I'm getting enough sleep, and I'm not exercising very much, so I don't think I should be exhausted. Ken stopped home briefly, but left soon after to view property with Nelson. I ended up beating off while he was gone, since I figured that we wouldn't have sex that night. Jeff sent me a message, asking if I wanted to go to Info Night for Gay Men's Chorus. I didn't, but I'd happily keep him company. Ken had found a site that he liked, right over on Cleveland, and Nelson is going to find out about it. Dallas came over, and we went over to Baja Betty's. I didn't intend to stay, since it was almost 6 when we left, and I was anticipating a call from Jeff for the meeting at 7. The call never came, and I ate some chips, but mostly drank a LOT of water. Ken ordered nachos, which were about as big as he was, and ate way more than I thought he would. We walked back afterwards, Ken expressing irritation at the sign someone had put on their yard about someone else's dog. Dallas left us then, and Ken watched the RNC. Sarah Palin is a great speaker who doesn't let facts stand in the way of anything she says. I was mostly just bored...poked about online, etc. We watched PMFR together - I think Stella has had the most graceful exit I've ever seen on the show. I also thought Joe's design was uglier, but not as ugly as Suede's, so I guess I'm happy that they didn't use my opinion. I felt really bad for Kinley, but I totally give it up to Leeann that her dress was better.
Laying down, my shin was very swollen, and it had spread down to my ankle. The slightly red part from before was now very red across about 4 inches. Ken and I had a long talk about my unwillingness to go to a dr./have someone else investigate my injuries. I've agreed to call my dr., and see what they think. Slept under my Ken-blanket.
