Labor Day BBQ and Such

Monday - We had been going to meet up with Travis for breakfast, but we were up and ready much earlier than Ken had anticipated. The drive home was fairly uneventful - absolutely no traffic - except for a call from Travis around 1, saying he'd just woken up, and a call from Justin later, talking about plans for the day, and the wild night he'd had before. He, Chris, Brandon, Dallas, and Todd had gone out to Bourbon, then to Cheers, and gotten good and smashed. He and Brandon had developed psychic powers, Todd and Dallas had hooked up. They made plans to go out to lunch when they got home, and talked about Glenn having a last minute pool party. I tapped out of lunch, opting instead to revisit my precious internet. Unfortunately, I also ate a bunch of TVP. I got cleaned up before Ken got home, hoping we might have a quick session before heading out, but everyone was in the car waiting, so nothing doing. The party was okay - very chill, mostly just people hanging out, drinking and talking. I had one drink when I got there, but stopped after that, since I was driving. Jason and Daniel showed up, and I chatted with them. I was ready to leave long before we did, though we finally headed out. We stopped back at home, so Ken could change and we all did a shot, then we popped over to Ralph's to pick up booze/mixers/sides. I protested Ken getting something specifically vegan, but he wouldn't hear of it. I thought that was very sweet, and grabbed a coupon for one of the items he got. Jason and Daniel followed us there, and to Ralph's. It occurs to me that Jason is a little cheap. The difference between cheap and frugal that's always been explained to me is that a frugal person is cheap with regards to themselves, a cheap person is cheap when it comes to other people. I agree with that, and find it to be true of him. Anyway, the tabouli and pita chips that Ken brought for me were a hit with everyone, and those and the veggies that Justin brought were the only vegan things there. I had a couple drinks, but I was again driving, so I limited it. Also, that whole "school" thing I had the next day. We had a good time, and I did dishes instead of eating everything. I considered the possibility of sex, but figured it wasn't very high, so I should just go ahead and eat. Right decision.
