Sunday - Got up a bit earlier than expected, especially given how much trouble I'd had sleeping the night before. I heard Ken get up and start moving around, but stayed poking about on the web in Anthony's room. He came in eventually and told me he was going to Target for some essentials, and would I like to join. I opted in, despite my ankle, and the fact that my mom had called 3 times that morning, and kept calling. Down at Target, I saw former co-worker Ray, and we chatted briefly. Given my mom calling so much, I had completely missed that Matt had also called about going to the Farmer's Market, so I called him back and declined on account of my ankle. Only slightly awkward when I ran into him and Allen, also doing Target shopping. I had actually thought about mentioning the fact that I was at Target, but just ended up not. Last, but not least, I saw Reyna, from APA, who I made a point to say "hi" to, since she had recommended I talk to her husband about advice back in the day about potentially attending law school. As it turns out, she's since divorced said husband, as well as starting a kids dance group with another member of the Butterworth troupe, a situation that Mr. Butterworth is none too pleased with. In the car on the way home, Ken asked why I'd slept on the couch, and I told him. He wanted to have breakfast with Justin, so he called him when we got home, and we waited for the call back. It took a little longer than anticipated, but it came. We eventually decided on Bleu, the French restaurant in Hillcrest. I opted against eating, since I'd had so much the night before, but did drink in the sight of our waiter, a GORGEOUS black gentleman. This brought up the whole race thing that Ken has again- despite the fact that he's had sex with about a hundred times the number of men I have, he's never had sex with a black man. Anyway, after brunch, Justin still wanted a cocktail, but we were stumped for places to go. Ended up at Betty's, though at the bar, which kept chips out of the picture. Killed some time there before heading home, where the boys had a couple more cocktails and tried to design their evite for their upcoming birthday party. I was delighted that I was able to help, in the form of my vast collection of pics of boys. After Ken designed it, the party seemed to come down. Ken had a headache, and Justin kept having to deal with his week long event, the Jewish Olymipcs. Ken mentioned having someone over, but everyone we talked to either wanted a raincheck, or just one-on-one. On the one hand, I felt good, since they wanted one-on-one with me, on the other I felt bad, because I wasn't able to make it happen. There was one gent who had expressed interest in coming over before, so I sent him a message, but he never logged on. I had kind of hoped for sex, since I'd imagined Ken to be fairly randy, but this was not the case. Couldn't sleep again.
