I Hate Being Positive
Jul. 15th, 2008 09:51 amMonday - Got up bright and early, with no hangover to speak of, Ken went to work, and I popped online. Stayed on A4A most of the morning, chatting with photodude. He offered for me to come over, and I was completely agreeable, but like always, he's all talk. Got progressively sadder and sadder that no one was hitting me up. Even when I first got onto A4A, and my pics were terrible, I got more messages than this. Nothing to really do for it. Went to the gym - worked out over 850 calories, just over 5 miles, just over 50 min. Also held plank for a little over 5 min and did bicep curls. Weight was 141, but that was after my workout, before I'd eaten or drank anything. Still kind of heartening. Kind of, only because I was 139 of muscle last year, muscle weighs more than fat, etc. etc. so I was really much leaner. Went home and had a protein shake, then ran some errands. Talked with Anthony on the phone for a bit, and at his suggestion, changed my profile pic. I had thought I would get updated ones after Pride, but I don't think that's going to happen now. Also got a text from Steven, who I've known off and on for a long while online. Texted him back, only to have him eat up nearly a quarter of my monthly texts before I finally convinced him to call the house line. He wants to hook-up, but can only host sometimes. Ken texted about meeting at Universal for a happy hour drink, so I walked over there, only to find that they're closed Mon-Wed. We walked to Flick's instead, where Chris and Dallas met us. Chris's grandma had died, which had actually been supposed to happen about six months ago, so he was fine, but very amenable to having a drink. I passed the first two times I was asked if I wanted anything, but finally got a vodka diet the last time Ken asked. Oddly enough, when he asked if the table wanted refills, he only asked Chris and Dallas. We stayed there for a while, and then we left to go find us dinner. By "us" Ken apparently meant "pizza", though I convinced him to get a Ralph's pizza instead of Little Caesars. This would have saved him cash and calories, except that he got a $6 pizza. Still saved him calories, and he ended up getting salad, as well. Back at home, he made his pizza, and I made some tofu-thing, except that I didn't drain my tofu well enough. I'd had two protein shakes, and with the tofu, this brought my total daily calories to 445...I also had some veggies, for another 30. I thought about making some oatmeal, maybe with more protein powder, but by that time it was too late. Most of the night we just sat on the couch. Ken watched TV, and I started reading the first text book to arrive - "Introduction to the Study and Practice of Law". Stopped at the part that required participation, since I was tired.
