Thursday - Kim had confessed to me early in the week that my co-workers were having a surprise party for me, but that she couldn't for the life of her think of a place to get dessert. I said there was no dessert needed, but of course sent her the PETA accidentally vegan list. One of our other co-workers, Sonia, sometimes makes a coincidentally vegan dessert involving rice, coconut milk, and copious amounts of brown sugar. I wasn't terribly surprised when she brought that in on Thursday, but I remembered that that wasn't all, so I was good and only had one piece. Work was also unusually busy, but this was no problem - even on my last day, I rocked it out. Then came lunch time. It seems that my last day was also co-worker Sherman's birthday, or close enough to it that they decided to celebrate it that day. They got L&L Hawaiian Barbeque for lunch (nothing vegan), brought in (non-vegan) homemade cookies, and two (non-vegan) cheesecakes. I ate a little more rice-thing after that, had a hard time working, and was just generally done being there. I think I ate a bunch of TVP and oatmeal when I got home, but I don't remember. When Ken got home, his initial reaction was "Well, you should have known.", but as my reaction quickly changed to "raging bitch", his quickly became a little more sympathetic. Justin was at Baja Betty's with co-worker Mark, so we joined them there before poker. I was good and ate no chips, Ken had a couple margaritas and some flautas. I saw Steve (guy that Ken fooled around with on his lunch break waaay back in the day, and then caused drama with by not understanding the word "veto"), but didn't point him out to Ken. We eventually headed over to Poker, where I kept Justin company while we waited for Glenn, and wouldn't take "no", or even "well" for an answer when asking if I wanted a drink. Not that I mind the first half, of course. I eventually tapped out of that, went home and putzed about. Ken called me to pick hima dn Justin up, and Justin was having emotional drama regarding Brian. Ken was mentioning that Brian was like him, and just puts Brian first in all things, and Justin just needed to understand that. I didn't really want to get involved, but I piped up a couple times. They finished their conversation over at Justins, and then Ken came home and tried to tell me that he wasn't defending Brian at all, he just didn't want to be involved. I mentioned that I was glad he had changed his tune, since it wasn't what he was singing in the car...we went in circles for a little while, and then he decided he was angry with me, turned off the light and went to bed without saying another word. I was on the computer at the time, and should probably have hooked up with the cute guy that was hitting me up, but instead I just slept on the couch. Ken came and got me in the early morning.

Friday - Happy 4th! After Ken apologized, we put our selves together and snagged some last minute stuff for the BBQ Justin was having. It was a nice time, and a surprising number of people showed up. I'm glad I insisted that Ken not go out of his way to buy anything vegan, as there was plenty there. I didn't eat TOO much, but I got a decent amount of veggies in. I had a slight headache by the time the crowd was ready to go to Top of the Park, so I just went home and napped afterewards, instead of hitting up the other two BBQs I had been invited to. Woke up slightly cranky just before Ken called, but feeling much better. I picked the group up, we spent a little time at Justin's, and then we all headed down to Universal. The music was okay, but never consistently good, in my opinion. We left Brandon there, apparently waiting for Chris, and retired.

Saturday - Lizzy, while tipsy, had mentioned champagne and brunch in the morning, a little pre-party for the party at Glenn's, but there was noone there for the longest time. We made tofu scramble, fruit salad, cinnamon rolls, and bacon. I intentionally didn't eat a lot, reciting a mantra to myself that it was better to throw the food away than have it ruin my chances for sex later in the night. Finally, other people showed up and finished the tofu scramble, though the fruit salad was still left. When everyone had eaten, and several people had finished the champagne, we all headed out to Glenn's. The party got very busy very fast. I tried to keep myself occupied by getting drinks for people, throwing away trash, that sort of thing. Ken DJ'd for a while, then the speakers blew and he had to run home to get more. He got back just as I started to worry about him, and went right back to DJing. Chris and Mike were in the pool, and finally persuaded me to join them..Chris and I stayed talking long after Mike had left, and I may have gotten a little touchy with both of them. The party gets fuzzy after that, but I gather I was in the pool for a good long time, and at some point gave some guy head outside who I wanted to bring back with Ken. Ken had found a different guy he wanted to take home, but that didn't happen either. I was getting a hotdog bun with fixins (drunken binge - sigh) when Ken pointed out my hand was bleeding. We stayed a little longer, but not much. I shouldn't have driven home, but I thought I was much more sober than I was, so.....Ken was still up for having someone over, but instead of saying that, he turned on the computer, had me log into A4A, and then said "if you want to." I just wanted to be with him, so I turned off the computer and we went to bed. It was a great party, though more and more in retrospect, I wish I had spent more time with Ken.

Sunday - Both Ken and I were randy when we woke up - I didn't realize my stuff was there, or I'd have gotten cleaned up one of the 8,347,982 times I got up to pee. He was also unfit to bottom, so I just helped him jerk off. Largely did nothing most of the day. Went over to Glenn's to collect Ken's stuff. The place was apparently a MESS when the party ended, but looked in almost pristine condition when we got back there. Except for the pool, which was still cloudy. Justin's phone wasn't working, and he finds Ken's awkward, so he used mine to call around and see if anybody had found his insulin. We went to brunch with Jay, Nelson, and Lizzy at Cafe One Three, and Jay and Nelson hit on the waiter. The waiter made eyes at everyone, which makes sense given that they're providing his tip. He even made eyes at me, though I didn't order anything. That's good customer service, right there. They headed off to see Wanted after that, and I putzed about a bit before heading down to rehearsal. Rehearsal went well, if warmly, and not with as much socializing as I might have liked. Foxy LeVeaux, the new girl, did a great job. Back at home, Justin and Ken were watching movies. Michael had invited us out to Hula's, and I would have loved to have gone, but I seemed to have acquired a sore throat, nausea, and a bit of a fever, so I just sat home and ate. I didn't buy any more oatmeal, but I ate everything else. Ken might have been up for sex, but it didn't come up.
