Hell Has Officially Frozen Over
Jun. 9th, 2008 12:57 pmMonday - Felt really weird when I woke up. Last night wasn't a fight exactly...We still cuddled in spite of the needling...I don't know. Trading e-mails with Ken, he finally comes out and says that I did the right thing by not fighting, and that he was definitely pecking. I win! I guess that makes up for how low I was feeling. Also e-mailing regarding next Wednesday's poker night - I invited Jeff, who will have his friend Shadow in town. In addition to having a supremly laughable name, Ken doesn't know him, so said no. Okey-dokey. Oh, who are the people that you told Brandon to go ahead and invite? You don't know them either? Okey-dokey. :-D I don't care one way or another about who is and isn't there, but I do like that nothing gets past me. Took of from work 15 min. early (which is really 15 min late), and headed downtown, where Collen was supposed to hook me up with a cell phone. I had some trouble finding the place (it's right across the street from Horton Plaza), and then even more trouble finding a parking spot. I would see a spot, but it would be on the other side of the street, and then I'd get good and lost with all the one way streets, see another spot, etc. etc. Finally got the phone: basic minutes, basic texts, $35/mo. The best thing was finding out that, while there's no way to avoid the deposit with Ken as the primary, if I'm the primary on a family plan, we use my credit, and there is thusly no need for one. I stopped at Whole Foods on the way home, picked up some carob, some "cheese" and some tofurkey sausages. The sausages are for Jason, since I ate one of his a while back. Got home before Ken, which was weird, and should have gotten cleaned up, even though he would have come home before I finished. Would have been better than nothing. Called CalWestern, and had to give my name, but they'll be getting back to me on the Ryan White vs. Insurance matter. I don't have high hopes, but there's no reason not to look into it. Ken had chips and salsa, and I made some nacho concotion. It was too salty, and therefore a waste of calories. Justin called shortly thereafter, and Ken and I went to pick up Ken's dinner from Mama's Lebanese before heading over. He got some fava and garbanzo bean thing that he didn't like, so he gave that to me and had me make him the garbanzo thing from TJ's. I'm so proud that he's trying very hard to like Mama's, instead of writing it off after one dish. Anyway, my secondary hard drive (the porn drive) was full, so I finally started burning some Falcon onto DVD's. Got through a couple of them, interspersing eating licorice and chips, before I started to get good and grossed out with myself. I did some bicycles, and some crunches, and finally just decided to go down to the gym. It was closed! There was a guy inside, but he just looked at me. The trip wasn't a complete waste, as I needed to put fuel in my car anyway. Thought about stopping by CDC, since I was in the area, but opted against it. Back at home, I burned more dvds, puttered about, and ate the chickpea thing that Ken had declined. I hadn't meant to, since I'd already had chips and licorice, but it was there....on the plus side, I threw away the last of the chips and licorice instead of eating them. Ken got home a little after 10:30, and seemed to be open to sex, but it didn't happen. We did cuddle a lot, and traded several "I love you"s, and that was swell. I'm not really sure what happened, but by the time I finally tried to make a move, he seemed to be asleep. I say "seemed" because when I finished beating off next to him and rolled over, so did he. Harrumph.
