Early again, but I guess that's fine on weekends. Lady Miss Friday was also upset again but she settled onto my pillows. Bittersweet, obviously. Julian worked later than usual - I guess the place opens later on Sundays. Not quite enough time for mimosas but at least it let folks snooze their alarms. I heard him doing his impression of Yosemite Sam. It turned out one of the kids pissed on his blanket. And later one of them shit on the blanket on the couch. Laundry soon. I went to make his coffee for him but didn't bother putting clothes on. I tried to make a joke about having a trick over when he asked why I was naked. That didn't work so well, but logic won. Lady Miss Friday would not want me to have a trick in her room, especially right now. Logistics, too, since how the fuck would I get them in and out? I was all ready to jump back into the work I need to do for Symbism but Lady Miss Friday was upset again. My phone didn't charge last night so I read The Shattered World while she laid on my pillow instead. I petted her for a while, she laid down to sleep. Unfortunately, having managed only a few hours, I also couldn't focus much on the book. I only made it a couple chapters, but I'm still looking forward to re-reading it. More than that, I saw a post the other day about people reading in school as an escape. I was so far in my head I had no idea things were bad, I was mostly reading because I found class insanely boring, but I noticed that I don't ever read much anymore, even with Scribd. Thinking back, I floundered when I sort of ran out of things to read. But I also think it's kind of hard to schedule time for that, since we all just used to read just all the time.

When Julian came home, I joined him outside. He asked for my credit card so he could buy a tall boy. That's a beer, apparently, and I eventually gave in. If he gives it up, he could drink a handle. We watched the last of Never Have I Ever, and I'm decidedly a fan. Some of it's awkward, like the two dates at the party, but they don't sink it. Julian went through all the remaining chips and declined dinner. Whatever works. Unfortunately, one of the temp crowns fell out. Well, I'm back on the 10th. I'll live.
