thepnutgalleryWe had our meeting at work, and Lynelle seems correct about everyone but me and JJD. Delighted by the better parking and easier traffic. That's fine, the more paralegals who are happy in the office the more likely they'll allow at least some time for me to work from home. The only part that would mess me up would be the physical mail, because they want us to review it with the scans just to make sure it's accurate. But I imagine staff attorneys would notice if they got a piece of mail that wasn't in CMS or vice versa. And I finally took care of some loose ends after that.
FHA messaged me about a complaint from a co-worker that his Pride display was "too political." No. We won. In any civilized nation, LGBT rights are no longer a point of contention for rational people. I might be overestimating slightly, but I also used subjective terms. I had my video meeting with the neurology nurse practitioner and it turns out I've got arthritis in my spine. How elderly of me. And something about degenerative damage. I'm going to take physical therapy to try to figure out how to safely work out at my age. She also went over the forms for the DMV, but I need to print, sign, and send the next time I've got a printer, which means next time I'm in the office. I could also just walk over to the library, but my library card expired. I didn't even know that was a thing.
I made my Wonder Wednesday about Julian's cats, and he looked up cat hotels. Found one that gave a discount if we housed all 3 of them down to $65/day. I think that was total for all 3 and not per cat, and I told him we couldn't afford it. We were drinking and it did not go well. He suggested fraud rather than give his cats up for adoption. I understand the desperation, but he's homeless. Awkward thing to say about your husband, but he wants to keep and live with his kids. That's a hard no from Lady Miss Friday. We did try to find a solid additional gate or something we could put in the doorframe, but that didn't work. He got mad at me for not letting them in here, because it seemed like Lady Miss Friday was more important than him and his cats. He became way more upset when I confirmed that.
