Can't seem to get caught up
Feb. 20th, 2008 07:22 pmMonday - Went to work uber early. Wasn't able to get much done before 7, and putzed around on the computer for a while even then. Ended up getting a ton done anyway - priorities + all the mail from Friday. Left around noon, came home to Ken and Jeff watching TV. Made some pudding, and Jeff eventually left. On Sunday, Ken had mentioned doing something with Nikki for lunch or something, but he just gave me a blank look when I mentioned it. Laid down and slept for a few hours. Woke up and did a lot of nothing until it was time to go to therapy. I didn't really care for our first session, but this one was extremely useful. We started talking about our definitions of flirting, which led to the extremely enlightening info about Ken vs my thresholds. For me, flirting is fine right up to making out. This sets off an alarm in my head, and I make sure to stop things there and say "blah blah blah come home with us. For Ken, once it gets to kissing, an alarm goes off in his head that says "Eric who?". I had no idea. As per usual, I assumed that the way I think is the way everyone thinks. Sadly, we didn't sleep well, even given this - Ken kept trying to put me on my right side, but my arm hurt, so I ended up on my back, and snored. Blah.
Tuesday - Mua ha ha! Everyone who had the day completely off on Monday seemed to be having a really really hard time getting motivated to work. I seem to have gotten the best of both worlds. Not only did I get a lot done on my day off, but I still felt like Tuesday was Monday, and I was on a kick of momentum from all the work I did. Awesome. Sadly, we were supremely slammed, and despite my best efforts, we ended up behind. I had been going to go to the gym right after work, but I was fighting a headache all day long. I still went to the gym, or at least the parking lot, but promptly fell asleep as soon as I got there. Went home, showered, shaved, felt a little better, and headed off to D&D. It was nice to see the boys again, and I don't have to play a priest anymore! I liked my priest, but choosing spells every day was tiresome at best. Working on a Dragonfire Adept now. Fun! Also did a second set of push-ups and crunches, and managed not to eat overly much on the mixed nuts. Ken seemed a little bored, but oh, well. We left there a little after 10, and pretty much went to bed. Unfortunately, not only had I been drinking diet pepsi max the whole night, but I also regressed. Thought about going into work at 2:30, but every time I tried to disentangle myself from Ken, he kind of freaked out.
Wednesday - Did not have a good day. Didn't feel like working, but people had stayed for OT on Tuesday and reviewed everything, so there was an absolute fuckmegaton of RC, which Jason was very insistent about. Still, I managed to keep my energy up, and worked out twice while I was there. Not bad. Again, I meant to go directly to the gym, but really needed to stop home first. Looked for a picture of Ken wearing his Canada jacket, only to realize after I had searched through his pics twice that it must've been on the cd of pics that Dallas gave him, instead of with his physical photos. I was also fairly depressed for most of the day, and this didn't get any better after I missed my class. Ken came home, and kissed me and asked if I needed another reminder that he loves me (he's written a couple of notes for me to take with me)..... I could only think of the e-mails he sent saying how much he loved me on the morning of the 28th.
So, no. No I don't need another reminder. Thank you.
Ate everything in the house after that - two slices of "cheese", three bowls of oatmeal, a quarter cup of TVP, and the rest of the "pepperoni". Also worked out again, for a total of 120 push-ups and lots and lots of crunches. Here's hoping.
Laying in bed, we talked a little about this past Monday. We went in a couple of circles while Ken tried to find a way to be right...I wonder if he doesn't have a need to be right? Doesn't matter, since he was very very wrong.
