Julian had evidently continued drinking after we hung up last night. And that TED talk about Life being so dangerous since there's no Due Date sort of struck home. Some small Quarter Life Crisis seemed to peek out from under denial. I'm not really sure what to do for him, but I imagine having these nudges to be responsible at least make whatever light peeks through less harsh.

I wanted to be productive, but didn't really have much I could do. I checked the laundry, but it was still Quarters Only. In retrospect, I should probably have led with the fact that people (like me) will put off laundry for longer since we need quarters, so the company stands to make more money by swapping. Ah, well. I hopped over to CVS and snagged a roll...and vodka. I rationalized it in my head as being for Happy Hour on Tuesday, but realistically, I'll almost definitely go through the handle by then. I might have a little left.

I tried to vacuum when I got home, but it pretty much gave up completely. Just kind of...moved some of the debris around. Tim called and offered to swing by later to fix it if I'd cook up one of the Indian meals he bought. That's obviously more than fair, it helped reduce how much I drank, and it nudged me to pick up the place. Wiped down the bathroom, started laundry, and finally caught up on my journal. I also figured out how I can eat soy curls just covered in seasonings & spices. No sauce needed, no bread products, etc. I drank less, since I was expecting Tim to come over. Still too much, but didn't feel bad since it was the weekend.
