Looks Like A Religious Duck
Feb. 6th, 2021 02:31 am3am day, but that's to be expected. Weirdly, I actually had kind of a lot of energy, and I made use of it. I called and emailed around for things I'd been putting off addressing, from missing items to billing discrepancies. And I got the MyCox or whatever it is app and got closer to figuring out port forwarding. I thought I did it, and I was weighing asking JJD to try again to make sure, but then I found a site that checks for you, and not quite. I cleaned up the place, for me anyway. Dishes, vacuuming, litter box, scrubbed down the stove, cleaned Houdini's cage, and even mopped. And since I was on a roll, I trimmed, showered, and shaved. Tim texted reminding me to get cashews and peas for the upma, so even though I hate going on weekends, I went grocery shopping. They were having a sale on frozen vegetables and I bought a bunch of carrots and peas so I can feed the ducks. I went back to trying to figure out my ports but ran out of time. Sort of.
It got to be 6pm and I hadn't heard from Tim, then he let me know he was running late. I logged in to the meeting anyway, just so they didn't wait for me. Kathy also seemed to be running late, so I just chatted with Lynelle for a bit first. It calmed a lot of my anxieties, really. Lynelle is Catholic, and when I explained my religion, really seemed to support the idea. I was terrified religious people would gatekeep and be upset it's not a "real" religion. I couldn't remember if I'd already told Lynelle about her, so I just gave a quick run through. On that note about my religion, it's worth noting that Tim was able to save me ultimately thanks to Lady Miss Friday, and I made friends with my biological mother ultimately thanks to my mice. Lynelle even just giggled over The Girls having free run of the place. Apparently Amy does the same with her rabbits. Twinning!
Kathy never did log in, but we did a decent job of making the Upma. After the meeting, he talked some about how much they all like me, and my difficulty believing that. Julian called, so Tim took off, but I ended up blacking out.
