At Not Past

thepnutgalleryI felt much better on waking, even though there were still technical difficulties connecting. I'm catching up from my backlog. I had my tech interview with Mode, and while yes, everything comes from the pre-installed apps, they're a new, small company, and the phone was fine for the price.
I posted the St. Vincent track Patrick sent me, and since I insist on at least some analysis from my posts, took some time to listen again (and again and again) to really sort my relationship with it out. I was surprised that it got a relatively large number amount of interest. I'd used office tape to bassically tie Houdini's tube back together, and it predictably came apart. I bought some Duck Tape (and props to the company for the name), and while I tried to just tape up the broken connector, it was almost sitcomish that there was like a chain reaction of breaking. I managed to get it cleaned out and all taped up, and saw Houdini sleeping in his loft later.
JJD and I were supposed to play D2 after work, but he had some other things to do first, so I started working on my journal. My soy curls finally showed up, and far more than being mad at whatever gauntlet they faced getting them to me, I was really pleased that my Depression Era Syndrome came in handy. I started browsing around for fun stuff to smoke with my Herb-e and found some decent options, like THCA and the potential in THCP. I'm going to wait until I get low on my current carts to do it though. No sense getting splurgy. Julian called, and he's expecting to hear back from Border Patrol any day now. The training facility is in New Mexico, and he's planning how to take care of his cats while he's gone. His mum was supposed to on his last trip here, but did a shoddy job of it or something, and that was for much less time. When he asked my plans for the night and I told him about D2 w/JJD, it was...odd. He drifted towards jealousy, half-joking that I'd fuck JJD in the game or something, and started hinting that I should have bought him a copy, too. But just as he started eclipsing, he snapped out of it. When JJD finally freed up, we couldn't connect. Something about needing ports forwarded or something. I thought about Battle.net, but I want to make sure we can close open battle.net to a game with just us. Shockingly, people on the internet are dicks, and will pop in and kill your character just to fuck with you.
