Sunday - Kind of felt like I let things go too soon. Too late to take it back now, though. Went with Ken and Justin to the gym, had a pretty good workout - 15 min. on the stairmaster, and then muscle work. Went to La Vache for brunch after that. I hadn't wanted to eat anything, but I nibbled a bit of bread, which turned into the rest of the bread and most of Ken's pommes frites (shoestring fries). Back at home, Ken had to work on some continuing ed for work, so I did laundry, vacuumed, etc. for a little while. I was going to see if Jeff wanted to hang out, but Ken decided that he wanted me to stay with him. I helped him on a few questions (not the knowledge itself, of course, just the confusing wording of the questions). My parents ended up calling while I was helping, and told me that Princess had died in her sleep. I was more affected than I thought I was going to be, which is to say, at all, but mostly I just wanted to make sure my papa was okay. Also talked to them in somewhat vague terms about what was going on relationship-wise with me and Ken. Other than that, just kind of snacked on some random munchies until Ken was done. Justin finished his errands at about the same time as we finished, so we went with him to grab some dinner at Viva Pasta! Decent food + adorable French staff = winner. I opted against eating anything, since I'd already eaten too much that day, but I did keep the boys company. Back at Justin's, Elizabeth called with gf drama. Her gf was cheating on her, and using her, and it's the same pattern that's been repeating itself for the last 4 years with them. Her gf is also doing drugs again. Sat and counseled her, which mostly constituted listening and offering the same advice over and over. Eventually, Jason called, and I went back home to wait for him. He took a while to get there, but eventually came over and started drinking. None for me, thanks, but I've been babysat enough times that it wouldn't hurt for me to play that role a couple times. We chatted on the couch over soy nuggets, played and watched some random videos and games online, Jason took a Xanax, then finally decided to head over to Rich's at about 10:30. Went over to tell Ken we were going, only to run into him as he was on his way home. He still opted to just go home, so we headed over to the club. The music was okay inside, and there were a couple drunk straight girls hopping about on the floor. Whatever - I went there for a workout, and that's what I aim's to get. We danced until about 11:10 before tapping out - really, just long enough to say goodbye to the weekend in my book. About five feet from the door, a bouncer taps me on the shoulder and motions me outside. Gives me the third degree about how much I've had to drink, what substances I'm on, then shines a light in my eyes and concludes I'm on something. Never been thrown out of a club while stone cold sober before. Meh. We were already on our way out, and it makes for a fun story. Jason thought about coming back in after, but it would only have been for another drink, so I sent him home instead. I was still sweaty when I got in, but laid down with Ken anyway. Not a bad end to Sunday.

Monday - Had a very productive day at work - actually ended up staying just a little overtime to get the last of stuff in. Ate a little pudding at home, then got cleaned up and ready for the gym. Decent workout: we used the cross-trainer, and I got a good 445 calories in, according to it. I don't ever feel like I've gotten as much of a workout as it tells me I have, but I'm not about to complain. Took a big risk when I got home - Ken had mentioned before that I should pounce him right out of the shower after the gym, so I was naked on the bed when he got out. It was a little awkward, but it was okay. He certainly didn't say no, which is what I was worried about. We jetted over to Henry's after that, bought some essentials for dinner, and then I made salad while Ken grilled some portobello caps. He also bought garlic bread, though I forswore eating any of it, which turned out to just be french bread, but we had some leftover Papa John's Garlic Dipping sauce, which made up for it. The caps were good, though I just had a couple carrots instead of any salad. After that, we had our counseling session, which was a little awkard since we weren't still mad, and a little awkward because there were a lot of silences. It was okay, though. Our next one isn't for a couple weeks. Back at home, I was just going to make some TVP for the morning, but I'd not had much to eat, so I ended up eating it, and having to make another batch. Meh. I'd rather binge on 300 calories of protein and fiber than end up eating the whole loaf of bread in one sitting later or something similar.

Taco Tuesday! - Also known as Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, and National Pancake Day. Since we're not drinking, we opted to have friends over for Taco Tuesday, instead of go out and getting piss drunk on a worknight. We're so grown up. I had some time before he got out of work, so I picked up most of the stuff we needed. The only things I didn't get, really, were chips, lettuce, and sour cream. Got home with just enough time to get cleaned up and put everything away. Perfect. We made a quick stop at the polling place to drop off our ballots before heading over to the gym. I had NO energy while there. I actually thought I might pass out at one point, but I just kept going. Ended up with a reading of 481 by the end of it. Not bad. Ran home, showered, and jetted to Henry's to pick up the last ingredients. Ken wanted grated cheese for people's tacos, and that alone was half of what he spent there. We were actually still making stuff when Dallas showed up. I always get upset when people respond with "maybe" for our invitations. What it translates to me as is "if I can't find anything better to do", even though it doesn't usually mean that. Anyway, it was a smashing success for those that did show up. Matthew, Allen, Dallas, and even Jason came by, though Jason tapped out before anyone else. We made tacos, and watched some lesbian comics on LOGO, and played the Hello Kitty Shopping Spree game. Marcus called at one point, and we're going to get together on Thursday for tea or something. I think he needs to go on meds. Seems to be the week for it.

I felt very "old married", but less in the fighting/hetero kind of way, and more in the "gay/antique shop" kind of way. After everyone went home, I hopped onto the computer, and Ken watched American Idol with Anthony. I also ate some french bread with the chili/cream cheese dip. When we finally laid down, I told Ken about the way I felt all couply and nice, but how the other half of my brain didn't trust it. Duh.
