Parting Gifts

I woke up around 2 or 3. Happens. Even though I drank coffee with it, I did still take a Seroquel and a couple watermelons. Terry had left the catnip outside my door. I took it in, but let Lady Miss Friday walk around outside for a bit. Eventually, she came back in, and I managed to doze for a bit more. Terry came over again later in the morning, wearing his Afro wig, and worldessly gave me the carts that Taka had been working on for a few weeks. I now have over 3g of carts, so it'll probably be a while before I run out. Good opportunity to save money, not that carts are very expensive.

I still have about a quarter of the King Louis OG from Kingpen, and typical of me, couldn't bring myself to swap it for a stronger one. Waste not want not, right? But my frustration at not getting "there" kept rising, I took a bunch of watermelons, drank, and tried desperately to finish the Louis. I was unsuccessful.

Julian called in the afternoon, but I was fairly gone by then. He asked again what happened between me and Terry. He said he would explain things to Terry,and also said Terry isn't moving. I don't think our friendship was healthy for either of us, and was nowhere near The Wild Party he was so proud of unless we were drinking.

I tried to text Tony, but he'd blocked me. Tim said he occasionally gets social overload, so just blocks everyone for a while. Somehow I got to thinking about The Two Recoveries - my friend the meth addict who became a doctor and my friend the alcoholic whose last relapse cost him (among other things, obv) custody of his cats.

I swapped watching Netflix with listening to music, and found some melody drifting around the back of my head. On closer examination, it turned out to be the intro to "Back Down The Black," by Boy & Bear, and I almost immediately found an excellent live version from Detroit. Amazing.
