Rats and Weed

I woke up at 5, which is certainly better than say, 6 or later. I'll probably need a higher dose to sleep through the night. If I'd taken it when I hoped to, I'd have woken up at 3 or 4, and that would be no good. I was tired at work, even after my coffee, but things are slow enough that even so I got through all my work, a doozy of a habeas claim, and had time to work on the last kudo before l even stopped for my lunch break. I managed to finish the rough draft when I got back, though I'm going to hold off for a bit and revisit it in case I want to make any changes.

At home, I tried to order from Goldn Bloom, the local dispensary, but it wouldn't accept my recommendation ID. I called them, and it turns out they don't do deliveries anymore anyway. Maps told me it was a 5 minute walk....but there was also a transparent line over a couple freeways, and the note that the directions might not be possible. Thanks, Maps. Getting there driving involved going in basically a giant 5 mile circle, so that was pretty much a no. Maybe this weekend or after traffic dies down or something.

I shared a great drawing of a rat with the caption "rats are good" and the rat itself saying "I'm not gross." The very first comment was Tom Chrysler, always previously supportive, saying "Yes they are. He was so cute as I picked him up, put him in a Ziplock and threw him in the trash." My first instinct was to block him, then to go through his page and try to report him for something, then to read him for filth, and I finally settled on just asking why he would brag about something like that. It turns out he meant he found a dead rat, and threw it away. OH! I'm glad we cleared that up. And clicking on the original image, it's from 4 years ago at this point, and apparently blows up every now and again. It was interesting to see people's various reactions, as well as growth through the years as they would keep coming back to respond over time.

The day dragged on again, which is better than it going too fast, I suppose. At 7:30, I decided to try to find my way to Goldn Bloom again, and while the maps were cleared up - a much more sensible route using Market street - I then couldn't find my wallet. Lady Miss Friday also decided she wanted pets, so I sat on the bed with her, still looking around for my wallet. She decided she wanted treats next, and when I went to go look for them, found my wallet. Score! Bought a couple cartridges, which should keep me solid for a very very long time, to be honest. I plugged in the Tangie Cream at home, got good and high off it, and took my meds for the night. Unfortunately, Trazadone works either to help you fall asleep or stay asleep, but not really both, so I'll need to figure out a new plan there.
