Albertson's Is A No

Woke up a few hours after going to sleep of course. I don't mind so much with my sleeping meds, because a) there's always coffee and b) the sleep I get on them is *quality*. I petted Lady Miss Friday for a while, only a little irritated with myself that I didn't manage to set up a place for her she can sleep and feel comfortable yet. Then did head up to the old apartment. Not only was the monkey still there, but I do still need my pens and such, a few fridge items would be useful, recycling and shopping bags..oh yeah, and my fucking vacuum cleaner. Less needed in the new place, because it's tile and wood for most of it, but my room is still carpet. I got everything loaded then headed down to work. It took a little going outside my usual span of looking, but I found really good parking at Kettner and Date. All of maybe 4 blocks from work, I think. Made coffee, set up Amazon mail forwarding, updated my journal. I got an early start on a bunch of work, which meant my afternoon was largely free. I updated Chase Pay to send my rent check automatically, finished a first draft of a kudo. I corresponded some with the rental agency about the two items I told them about - the plumbing issue and the light over the stove. They want me to put them on my walkthrough paperwork instead of fixing them now. On the one hand, sure. On the other hand, neither of these things would I have known about from an initial walkthrough. It's fine, though.

I should have gone to the store after work, but learning a good way home seemed like a better option. Took another box in to the apartment, but I've got to start putting things away before I can really set out yet more stuff. And I've got to figure out where everything goes before I can do that. I texted some with FHA, Tim, Chip, and Ben while I set up my computer. Now that the Wifi is working, I'm getting tired of having to pull everything up on my phone. I texted with Tim, FHA, Chip, and Ben, and Tim called me. Tami is going to help me organize my apartment and all she wants for it is booze. I can definitely do that.

I made some pasta, but I was still hungry so I made the trip over to Albertson's. I made it this time! The selection isn't as good as Ralph's, and it's a lot harder to navigate, but I still bought some cookies, burgers, and almond milk. Forgot ant traps, though. I think in the future I'll just go to Ralph's. And my navigation tried to kill me on the way home. Constant early or late directions, confusing ones....another point in Ralph's favor, I think. Took my sleeping meds and crashed when I finally got there.
