I was fairly drunk for this last one, but it was funny at the time!

Onto the actual journaling now.
Work was slow-ish, which was good because I was hungover-ish. Ken had his follow-up Dr.'s appointment, so he was home a bit late. I bought him booze to make up for having to go! I got a little lost on the way to BevMo, but eventually found my way there. Why, yes, I have lived here all my life. Why do you ask?
Man, that place is like, Toys R Us. There was a Hiram Walker Hazlenut (poor man's Frangelico, I imagine), a Walnut Liquour ($30/bottle = will only buy if I'm already drunk going into the store), and a Pumpkin Spice Liquor! Also several varieties of eggnog. I was good though, and only bought the two bottles for Ken: I snagged a bottle of Bacardi Limon (to make up for the one I drank in Phoenix) and bottle of SoHo Lychee.
I was supposed to have dinner with Nicole at Mandarin Dynasty, so I opted not to eat with Ken, and then he went off to poker. There's lots of things I like about Ken cooking for us - one of the biggest is that it helps HUGELY with portion control. When we eat together, I feel huge pressure to not stuff myself silly, and only eat as much as a normal person would. When I'm left to my own devices....not so much. I actually didn't eat a lot last night - one serving of chard, one of pasta, and a piece of flatbread when Ken came home with rolled tacos. I just felt like a failure for having one, then the other, then the last one. Also meant I never quite felt ready for sex. Not that it came up, but still.
I had one drink while he was at poker, another when he came home, and enough to put me to sleep when he went to bed without saying anything. We didn't argue or anything, it just makes me uncomfortable when he does that.
In other news, I'm delighted that it's the weekend. Some fairly big news from some friends, but that's for their LJ's/blogs.
