Going Dark

I gave up on trying to sleep, instead laying in the darkness, but I was aware of the gradually lightening sky outside. Unfortunately, it didn't make any difference to my vision inside my room. I still couldn't see Lady Miss Friday without the flashlight on my phone, and the room still looked completely dark. I managed to get dressed, even though I had to turn the lights on. Once outside, I could see fine, but everything remained dim all day. I took care of eservice, drafted the last kudo on my plate, and had my monthly meeting. I'm going to start training on audits and learning staff claims, which I could swear I already asked for. Better late than never, I suppose. I worked out a couple times throughout the day, and as I walked back to my car, looked up light receptors in the eyes.

Apparently that's the retina, so of course I started panicking. I looked up my insurance info, called a couple of the places, and finally set up an appointment (for $89!) to get checked out. Made pasta for dinner, because I'm out of pretty much everything else now, and tried to get back into Ugly Betty. I lost the plot there, so went online to look it back up, and I've kind of decided to stop watching at this point. I've got books on my phone and Lady Miss Friday prefers me in the room anyway.
