I'd thought I was going to train to take over her position but 1) she's not leaving for another 4 years and 2) she's training me on a single, 5 hrs/mo part of her job. On the one hand, maybe that would be enough to get me a raise, and maybe I could piecemeal myself into a position that pays decently that way? On the other hand, it still wouldn't be a career.
Dave came in the late afternoon to talk claims, but also to mention my hideous hideous face. Just double checking that I'm starting therapy/getting help for whatever it is, and also make note that while none of my work metrics suffered, people did, in fact, notice that I came in looking like Sloth from Goonies. Thanks, Boss # 3 . Good talk.
I killed some time after work waiting for traffic to die down before making the trek to Mission Valley to return the phones. Day 3, Place 3 and they still can't take them back. There's a restocking fee if you turn them in instead of mailing them back, but also since I never activated any of them, my account is frozen anyway. One call to corporate to cancel my account sent me to two different stores to visit, which sent me back calling corporate again. Naturally.
