Feeling Apart, and Banquet!
Oct. 21st, 2007 10:37 amDidn't sleep well again on Thursday. I was not nearly as tired as I maybe should have been, and Ken sent me an e-card in the morning, which also bouyed me. Promised myself that I would nap in my car on a break at work, but work was busy enough that I wasn't able to. I was then going to nap when I got home, but didn't end up doing that, either. When Ken got home, we layed down together for about 20 min - he napped, but I wasn't able to sleep. We also had sex for the first time in a while, and then it was off to Old Venice for dinner with Sean. I had sent an e-mail a couple days back, asking what was/could be made vegan, with a couple examples, and got back the enthusiastic and vague "Yes!". One of the things I had asked about was the house bread, but when we got there, I saw it came with butter, and could therefore not trust any of the things I had asked about. Sean was an awesome waiter, though, and double checked the bruschetta, and got me some bread without butter. I was happy. :-D I also talked to the young lady that had responded to my e-mail, and she explained that by "yes" she meant that they could indeed do the things I asked about, but not necessarily that doing any of them qualified as vegan.....ummm...okay.
Hung out at home after that, had a few drinks, and Dallas came by. We went to Rich's for Joe Gauthreaux, but I was tired, and drunk, and in no mood to be out at that point. My poor Ken ended up taking me home just before midnight, as I was glaring at people walking past us. Their own fault for being happy when I wasn't, I say. ;-) Walking home with Ken, we had a good talk. Back at home, there was a packet from the Red Cross, informing me that the test they had done that had originally turned me up positive for Hepatitis C was actually negative. Super!
Waking up in the morning, Ken and I layed in bed and made out, which always been one of my favorite things ever. For whatever reason, my memory is always fuzzy for the hour or so before I go to bed. Drinking, of course, only exacerbates this, but it happens anyway. As bad as I felt about ruining his night, we did come out of it with my costume for Monster Massive: I'm going to be a Sad Panda. Awesome, no? I'm unspeakably excited about the party, and can't wait to get my costume together. It's going to be pretty basic, but that's part of why I'm excited.
I had to run off to my practice LSAT, which took longer than expected, but went exactly as I expected - I rocked everything but the Logic Games. I was pretty upset, as the first Logic Game was easy, and then I hit one that stumped me, and then my brain stopped working for the rest of them. I'll get my results from that later this week, and take what I can from it.
We thought we had a BBQ up at Matthews, but there a mix-up in communication, and the BBQ is actually for Sunday. We still had lunch with Matthew and Allen, and got home just in time to change and head over to the banquet. I had been expecting the banquet to be much more awkward than it was - the food was awesome, the people were awesome, and my gag award was awesome. I got to help prep things, and drink, and eat fabulous vegan food, and dance with Whitney. It was a really wonderful time.
After the banquet, we went over to Justin's and watched a lot of nothing, until Ken took the suubtle hint that I wanted to go home (I had burrowed under him on the couch), and we went to bed.
