And yet, I'm not upset.
Oct. 17th, 2007 08:49 amHad a shoot yesterday at 5:30, so I ran some errands between work and that. Closed my Bofa savings, and transferred the remaining balance to Wamu. Took FOREVER - I'm actually still there doing it. Also wandered around Whole Foods, TJ's and Ralphs trying to decide what to eat. I'd had 150 calories for breakfast (Oatmeal + Splenda wins), so I was originally going to go for it and buy a package of Tofurky, but I thought about it, as I always do, and 1,000 calories just seemed like too much. Problem is that then 500 calories seems like too much, and then 200 calories seems like too much, and then I just decided to wait. Ken and I had dinner plans with Chris (guy from Maine that we picked up at Bourbon St. a while back), though no specifics as to where, so I figured I would just save my calories for that.
Shoot went well, and then I jetted home to my Crack addicted man. He had been going to go to the gym, tried unsuccesfully to get together with Sean, and ultimately opted for Diablo. Ken had no idea even what kind of food he wanted, but called Chris while I got ready.
Me: So, what's the verdict?
Ken: Well, I just wanted it to be a place where you could eat, and Chris was concerned about parking.
Me: Awwww, shucks. Where we going, then?
Ken: Pizza Nova.
Me: Oh, do they have vegan options there?
Ken: I don't know.
Also, Pizza Nova is in the heart of Hillcrest = not so good for parking. Looking at the menu, there were things that could POSSIBLY have been veganized, but nothing that jumped out, so I asked the waitress if she happened to know of anything, or could find out. "Ummmmm...you're best bet is going to be xyz salad with no cheese or dressing...."
I don't bet., and I don't like salad anyway, so I also didn't eat. Ken kept saying how bad he felt, and seemed to be waiting for me to say "Oh, it's fine!" or similar, but I wasn't about to. I'd say "Cash and Calories saved", but it's really only the latter, because Chris paid for dinner. On the plus side, I LOVED the dinner I finally made for myself when we got home. Not counting vodka (which I don't), my calories for yesterday were kinda low, though. Well, if it's alright to go overboard sometimes, then it's also alright to go...um....underboard? I was not so happy that Ken hopped right back onto Diablo as soon as we did, though. I had a couple drinks, despite Ken's reservations. Pretty much just went to bed right after that.
