Ken was FURIOUS that I left yesterday without leaving a note. We e-mailed back and forth for a bit, and when I felt there was no more venting to be done, I called him and we talked it out. It ended really well. I got out of work a little early, though I had offered to stay until 3, and ran to the store for some things before heading home. When Ken arrived, we took a walk over to Henry's and bought a couple things to make Thai wraps for dinner - they were AWESOME. We also talked a bit more, and everything was going really well. After dinner, Ken went off to poker, I did the dishes, had a couple cocktails, and chatted with some boys on A4A until he came back. Ken was actually undressed, in bed, and started talking about not knowing which "me" he's going to get when I'm drunk - the happy one, or the one that yells at him. I tried to point out that the only time I've been the yelling me was that one weekend, and suddenly, we're fighting, and he's getting dressed. I was angry that we were fighting at all, because I didn't want to, and even more angry that he was trying to leave in the middle of it, so I turned on the computer and said "Shoo" as he was leaving.
That didn't help things. His exact words were "You just bought yourself a weekend alone." It even more didn't help things that I locked the screen (which he doesn't have a key to) after he left - I found it hilarious. We argued a bit more when he got back, and talked about why we seem to be arguing so much, but didn't come to a conclusion. I was going to sleep on the couch, but Ken persuaded me to come to bed instead. It was a very unfortunate waking experience this morning, to have all of that come flooding back. Fortunately, just as I was considering getting up and going into work, I felt Ken's hand on mine, and opted to stay in bed instead. We shared a looooooooooooooong hug before I left, and I'm really really glad that I'm getting out early today. I don't want to be here. I want Carob.
