Gyms are for winning
Oct. 2nd, 2007 07:55 amIn spite of being really really tired yesterday, I opted to go directly into the gym from work, and not risk napping upon getting home. I've said it before, and I'l say it again: Kiddies, do not work out without music, or at least someone to talk to. Rough stuff, but totally worth it - 547 calories later, I'm a slightly sweaty, slightly light headed mess. Even more worth it - as you know, from reading if not seeing, I've been a little freaked out about how much weight I've been putting on since Pride. By a little, of course, I mean "a lot" and by "freaked out" I mean "terrified out of my mind, the only solution of which seems to be chocolate chip cookies and ice cream". The bad news is that I did, indeed gain weight since Pride. The AWESOME news is that my weight yesterday was 143.....that's it. I gained 4 lbs since Pride, and am still 7 below my former baseline. I was TOTALLY going to get some Dulce de Leche ice cream to celebrate, but didn't have time after running to the Albertson's and exchanging Ken's change for Amazon swag. One other weird thing : after my shower at the gym, my ear was bleeding, rather profusely.
Back at home, Ken was finishing his leftovers from the day before, and putzing around on Crack. Sadly, I was also too late to get in any nookie, and we left for game a little while after I got there. Game went well, if a touch too long, and I kind of felt bad for everyone who was not me and Wyatt during our infatuation with dead babies. But seriously, it was pretty damn funny. I almost felt bad for Ken - when the topic of Palm Springs came up, I very much did not allow him to downplay his adventures there, which he was very clearly trying to do. Early in the evening, we went for Los Panchos Mexican, where Ken bought Gay Jason dinner, but not me. I know I will usually decline getting dinner when we go out, much less having him pay for it, but I've been making a point of at least thanking him for asking. Admittedly, Jason drove everyone there, and his "dinner" was just a side of refried beans, to have with his leftovers at home, but I kind of got the feeling from the way that Ken was talking that he would have, and even wanted to, buy more than that. I've intentionally kept Jason off the veto list, though I have warned Ken about him. There's a reason (actually several) that Jason is one of the few fucks I'd rather I never had, and if Ken want's to learn that the, ahem, hard way, that's up to him. The mexican food apparently agreed with me, though, by disagreeing with Ken, and he ended up getting up several times throughout the night due to upset tummy. Our cuddling was pretty damn awesome between bathroom trips, though, and this way I didn't feel bad when I had to get up at 4am to take some Advil because my mouth hurt so damn bad.
