Chip messaged me - he'd been in town for a few days, flying back tonight at 6. I get out of work too late to see him, so he swung by for lunch instead. There was terrible traffic all around Little Italy, and we had a hard time finding parking, too. The french cafe we went to didn't have anything vegan, either, though of course I was there for the company.
Hit the gym, messaged Chris about later plans. He'd gotten to town early, so had time to kill before he could even check in. FHA had an unexpected free evening, so wanted to go to Harness with me, and Clint was already there. Right after confirming with them, Chris tapped out. He's in CMA (not the Country Music Awards), and since this is his old stomping grounds, it was a lot to process. Needed a meeting and an easy night to center himself. Okay.
FHA came over to pregame, but just had water. Even though he reads my journal, and vice versa, so he knows a lot more about my life than FB friends, it was really good to catch up in person. And we are *hilarious.* He drove us, I paid cover, he bought the first round. Clint was there, but pretty squeaked already. I also saw Spencer and his husband, and Nathan, who warned me that there were undercover cops there. Bummer.
Clint was talking about driving home, though he could barely walk at that point. Anthony drove us back to my place, Clint passed out on the couch.
