4:30 am, even with being exhausted and taking a melatonin. The election aftermath was surreal. Saw a bunch of posts from people lashing out, or crying, or fearful. I don't know what to say, and I'm not a comforting person. But I can party, so I offered as much, and people were surprisingly receptive. I know my fucking strong suits. Unfortunately, the only people who reached out in a concrete manner were people who wanted my fucking strong suit, which is my ass. I hold myself out as a sexual person. I've been asked by more than a few people if I'm addicted. I'm obviously fine with people asking for sex, and fine with using sex as a coping mechanism. I just think there are better times and ways for people to hit me up.

Work was strange and somber. Lots and lots of people left early. My meeting went well. I'm above average on all my work right now. I didn't hit the gym on the way home. I basically stumbled inside and ate a pita pocket before sinking into the couch.

Tim asked to come by, and I clarified I'd be going to Robert's birthday dinner, but allowed him to come over. We talked election, election reactions, and echo chambers. I invited him along to the dinner, and because Pupple was feeling rambunctious, took him as well. Unfortunately, I'm dumb, and while I clarified that Veganic Thai has an outdoor seating area where dogs are welcome, I didn't think to consider that the birthday boy et al would already be seated inside.

It was the right decision to stay and eat anyway, even if it was a bit awkward. After reports pouring in all day of emboldened bigots, it was good to see people still holding hands, going for drinks, etc. I saw Daniel Kruse, but he was squeaked and didn't see me.

I thought Tim would go home right after, but he was still there and up when I closed my door and turned out the lights.
