5am. Fuck. Waddled about a bit trying to clean up the place, since I was up, before laying back down around 9:30 and managing to sleep. Tim had texted, and I was meeting Julie at 4 to help her take video for an interview. Messaged her, then headed to Baras to look for more. Still nothing. And Julie messaged me back that she had a medical procedure that turned out to be more difficult than she expected. Fine by me. I sat home for a while, but finally headed down to the 24 on Imperial. I was worried there would be nobody there, but it was consistently, if sparsely populated. 20 laps is under a fifth of what I used to do, but it's better than I was expecting. Just getting to 5, then 10 laps was tough. Towards the end, some guy got in my lane. I don't mind lane sharing, but he was literally just swimming in my half of the lane like I wasn't there, diverting at the last minute to go around. I thought about doing muscle work, too, but wasn't really up for it.
Had a couple meatballs at home, started getting ready for the party. Happened to notice a black & white jacket I'd bought and changed in and out of outfits no less than 10 times. Ultimately decided on the safe option, because none of the others fit right. As it was, I walked in the door at 11pm exactly, just as the group photo was ending. I'd hoped that would be a convenient time to snag a drink, but I was a little too late. FHA saw me first, took me to the VIP room so we could open the Viniq (glitter booze). It was good, though the main selling point is still the appearance.
BWB is the one time of the year I see people from a more heteronormative world, and I honestly feel like a damn celebrity every time. I met some new faces, chatted with old friends. It was a fun time. Suzanne was nice enough to give me a ride home
