Back In The Habit
Sep. 2nd, 2016 12:08 pmHaving successfully engaged in a social thing that energized me instead of exhausted me, as so many things seemed to over the past couple months, I though I should have a game night. Or maybe I should quit while I'm ahead? Argh. But ultimately, the thought of zoning out on my couch while life went on around me for one more night was kind of terrible. I put feelers out, and got some good response.
Hit the gym after work, then stopped at the store. Tim asked if he could come over with Pupple, and I saw his car in the lot when I went in. He was getting flowers and a couple other things. I've flat told him we're not getting back together, so this is becoming awkward. I happened to run into Game Designer Jeff there, as well as Jason and his puppy, Edith. Talked with them for waaaaay too long, then headed home, started getting things ready for game night, and took Pupple out for a walk. I realized I didn't have enough ice, so I asked Gina to bring some, but she responded that she doesn't have enough in her freezer.......I was going to give Shane a ride when I picked some up from the store, but he didn't respond for over 30 min.
Game night was fun - Tim insisted we play Yahtzee, despite not knowing the rules or anyone else having any interest. Shane showed up, but only briefly. Nearly passed out and decided to go home instead. It was good to see Bryan and Chris again, to catch up with FHA while listening to Pandora, and to see Jimmy and Gina. Really, it wasn't so much a game night as a casual party, but that's okay too.
I think I threw up in sink after everyone left....that is, I know I did, and I'm hoping it was after, not before they all left.
