Dog sitting for Dave, meant to hit the gym, then swing home and say hi to LMF, head out after traffic. But it was one of those days when my whole body felt like it might sink into the ground under its own weight. Nearly crashed at home, if LMF hadn't been so insistent that I keep petting her. Just as I finally got everything in my car, all packed up, Tim texted asking if he could come over with Pupple, then hit TJ's. Alright. It was fine, but I was grumpy and he was slightly obnoxious, though he did get the demo with vegan cheese instead of the regular cheese they were advertising. I couldn't decide on what to get, either. Treats, snacks, etc. Everything was too many calories. Finally decided on mushrooms and hummus for a snack, and meatballs for dinner. I'm not very adventurous.

Got to Dave's place, gave Lucky some treats, put my laundry in and watched about half of Season 2 of Steven Universe. Cold outside, but for some reason the house was still sweltering. Dave left me a half of a Lunesta, which helped, but I still woke up a million times at random noises throughout the night.

Steven Universe has totally jumped up to my favorite series ever! I really wish I'd had a series like this when I was a kid. Wouldn't have grown up as confused as I did about myself and my identity and romantic aspirations. Kids are so lucky to have this show now.

Like Squeak alluded to, definitely don't give up on it if you're ever on the fence. It starts out "tricking" you into thinking it's just another goofy cartoon about a dumb kid surrounded by much more competent people who are somehow NOT the main characters instead of said dumb kid....Then it takes everything you thought you knew about the series and turns it completely on its head. Repeatedly. Also, video game, anime, and manga references everywhere. There was even a blatant(ly funny) Looney Tunes-inspired episode recently.

And if you don't like folks seeing you cry, you should prooooobably watch alone. Holy emotions, Batman!

*Needs to make SU icon, but can't narrow down all the choices*
