3 flower pots of coffee at work, and about half-way through the day I nearly came down with a migraine. Not a good start to Pride. I did finally rally and get all my work done, though, then zipped over to the store and bought food and booze for the weekend. About $100 worth, but that's fairly cheap for 8 parties. Unfortunately, Julian texted me, asking if he could see me. I'm an asshole for saying no - guy's leaving town and just wants to spend some time with me. That would cockblock any flirty or sexual fun I might have, but I'm a damn pushover, so I said I'd ask Matt to pick him up. No. I needed to chauffeur him, because....reasons? Text text text, angry angry angry, and he accused me of ignoring him and being an ass when I was driving home, and finally texted "Are you getting me or not." No. He then called me 10x, and texted about a million, but I was pretty done.

I didn't make it to either party I was supposed to, but I did watch Hover run around his cage, and even let him out onto the table. Good to know that he's not shy about leaving his cage. I am reminding myself with every stark, glaring difference that it's a good thing for mice to be individuals, and to love them all individually. And that it's not Hover's fault Mousey is gone.

The most surreal and wonderful part of the day was that my first grade teacher, Ms. Clawson (now Ms. Marques) found and Friended me on FB. She has a bunch of pics of animals on her page. She mentioned her ex saw me and pointed me out.....which was worrying for her sake, until she showed a pic of her family. Her, her daughters, her bf, her ex and his partner. Ohhhhh! Though it's still weird that he recognized me.....Ms. Clawson was an amazing teacher, and she vividly recalls all her students. Apparently my dad was very intimidating for her. It was awkward when she asked about him and Jared. She had dyed red hair and cat eye glasses. She got married part way through the school year and became Ms. Ruiz, but 1st Grade Squeak reacted worse to change than Adult Squeak, if you can believe such a thing exists. She could have forced the issue, but instead she made an exception for me, and said I, and I alone (love you), could still call her Ms. Clawson. There's also the time 5th Grade Squeak flat out refused to read "Where The Red Fern Grows," because *spoiler* the dogs die. Ms. Cheshire, rather than force the issue, let me report on The Incredible Journey instead. I've had some very accommodating teachers. It's only just now (2020) occurring to me that they might have been able to see some mental issues and wanted to avoid them. Nope, they were just wonderful and compassionate and accommodating. Ms. Ruiz is gonna come see the SDGMC show, and I'm gonna go see one of her daughters in the SD Junior Theatre production of Sweeney Todd. Oh what a world we live in.

Tim asked to come by later, as did Beth, and we chatted and caught up. All my parties were early affairs, so dying down by 11. I felt bad that I couldn't get them plans but it was nice to see them.
