Jesus God Almighty I Needed That
Aug. 6th, 2007 07:47 amStayed home from Rocky on Friday, since it was Ken's B-day weekend. In the afternoon, he went to Top of the Park with Dallas, and I stayed in to study. Jose came over, and we chatted for a while. Ken's laptop seems to have burned out, so Jose also took a look at that while he was over. He ended up going out with us to Bourbon St., which was largely lesbian when we got there, but had shifted to mostly gents by the time we left. Went to Rich's just before 11, to escape the cover charge, and had a BLAST dancing for about 2 hrs. The music was awesome, the crowd was good - it was exactly what I was needing. I was so unspeakably in need of that, I can't even say. Had an incident with some over-zealous Security guards - I guess I stumbled, even though I was the most sober one there, so they wanted to talk to me, but they got Ken first, and he didn't take kindly to their tone. A huge argument ensued outside the club, and we walked around Ralphs for some time while Ken talked to his surprisingly awake lesbian lawyer friend, Linda. I had Cracker Fest from the individual servings of crackers at the Salad Bar, and ecouraged the other folks with me to do the same.
Back at the apartment, we talked about going out, perhaps to Montage or similar, but everyone seemed to be falling asleep at that point, we opted for bed instead.
Saturday morning was just wonderful - we layed in bed and made out, and had awesome awesome sex - we hadn't since Wednesday, because I passed out on Thursday, and we'd just had a long day on Friday. TOTALLY made up for lost time. We were going to invite over a third, but with the computer still broke-ded, there wasn't much we could do. We had been going to go out to the beach, but at the last minute, we got a message from Glenn inviting us to a pool party at his house. Had a good time there, went back home and napped for a bit, then tried to figure out what to do with our evening. Montage had no cover before 10, but Ken's energy wasn't up. I debated going without him, but since it was his birthday weekend, decided to stay home. Not fifteen minutes after I decided to stay, Matthew calls. He's at Bourbon St. with his new guy, Allen, and would love for us to join them. We do, and have a wonderful time - I met Ian (the Ian that Ken slept with a while back), though I didn't realize it was him until much later that night. Matthew and his boy head out to get something to eat, and invite us to go with them, but at their car, Ken decides against it. They invite me to go without him, but the trouble that would follow is palpable, and besides, I already opted to stay with Ken once, I'm not going to go back on it now.
Ken and I finally decide to go to Montage, since it's not even 2 yet, and end up getting in with no cover, which always makes me happy! Unfortunately, there are very few people there, and the air is thick with desperation (not perspiration, like it should be). We head out after a brief chat upstairs, talking about our feelings on being in an open relationship, and get whistled at by a drunk gent laying on the sidewalk near our car. Even more flattering (since that first isn't really all that flattering) are the people just getting out of the car next to us - one of them called us out as "hot bitches", and another recognized Ken from a job she used to have. I could wish we had stayed longer, because I really liked the music, but I'm okay leaving when we did.
I don't know what it is about Sundays, but they are apparently for Topping, as far as my body is concerned. Suits me fine - it's not a very nice feeling to be completely one or the other, and be with someone who is completely versatile. We did that for a while, and then got things ready for our outing. Up until Thursday of last week, my plan had just been to give Ken presents and take him out to dinner on his b-day. On Thursday, someone asked what his friends were doing for him on the weekend, and suggested that Brandon and I figure something out. We were originally going to do a picnic in Balboa Park, but Ian (not the one Ken slept with) was going out boating to San Vincente with his boyfriend, who has a boat, and invited us along. Some other people were supposed to go, but I'm glad it was just the 6 of us. I'd never been before, so it was a new experience for me. Brandon is the undisputed King of Big Momma. After a very sun-filled day, we went back and rested for a bit, and then we were going to go out, but Ken was sleepy and Straight Jason wanted to hang out, so he came over and we watched the last part of The Day After Tomorrow - a very silly movie, even as disaster movies go.
Overall, it was a FANTASTIC weekend, with just the right amount of play and rest. I'm glad I'm back to Wonderful Weekend Land.
