De-Boredom of The Realm

Today was Loleena's *actual* last day, and we're all working to get her cases reassigned. Staff attorneys at ADI are badasses, though Loleena didn't have the experience that everyone else did yet. I wonder how much the civil firm offered her. Someone was wrong about something on the internet, so I had to correct them, and ended up staying late because of it. I don't even remember what it was. I mostly just did claims, which it turns out I enjoy. I can absolutely see myself moving further into claims and out of paralegal work.


Julian asked to hang out - I'd been planning on taking a night for myself, but I had no real plans, no desire to have a trick over, and I'm going to Desert Romp next weekend. So I put out the call to folks for game night. Dana was tired from work, Keagan's husband was in town and they were already out & about (huh, seem to have missed that invite....), FHA was at rehearsal all night, Leeper was tired from his day, etc. etc. Dave came over, and Kevin had just had a horrible date(?), and was actually looking for something to do. We played Defenders of the Realm...the game itself wasn't very fun, really. Julian got drunk and cranky, but didn't start anything, Dave is sober but cranky all the time, Kevin and I had a lovely time chatting. Actually too lovely a time, as Julian would later mention that he felt left out of all the references we were making. Dave also later apologized for being mean to Julian, though I hadn't noticed.

Julian and I stayed up much later, watching music videos and such, and he wanted to fuck, but unlike him, I'd been up since 6am. I was also drunk and my happy pill was kicking in, but still.
