Up and down, up and down

Gah. I went to bed at 11:30, but tossed and turned for a while...the last time I actually looked at the clock it was 12:35....then woke up just a couple of hours later to jet to work. I figured that, since I was working overtime today anyway, due to the shoot, I might as well maximize the time there and go in early as well as stay late. Besides, this will more than make up for missing Monday at work. The downsides to coming in so early are twofold: first and foremost, I have to leave my nice warm bed, with my nice warm Ken in it, and secondly, it makes for a lot of highs and lows throughout the day. My first high was when a song I had forgotten the artist for played on my Pandora station, followed immediately by a song I could remember NOTHING about, except that I liked it...I wrote them both down, this time. :D Since then, it's just been peaks and valleys....and lots of coffee....with no creamer.

Last night, Ken and I were going to have Taco Tuesday, but everybody else was busy...Straight Jason, one of the last people to get back to us, mentioned Game as his reason for not attending. I thought that would be an ideal way for the boys to be introduced to Ken, so we trotted over to say "hi", and ended up staying for the full game.....in all honesty, I don't think I'm going to go back....it's just too large a time commitment for something that is so often frustrating. I am, however, going to try to convince the boys to start game nights, where we just get together, have food and drink, and play a board game or similar. Ken also mentioned trying to organize something similar among his friends, which I think would be lovely.

The only other significant thing about yesterday is that we had fairly fantastic, if slightly rough sex in the afternoon, and I'm still finding blood....we're taking today off, in the hopes that I'll be better tomorrow.
