Growing Like A Strange Fungus

thepnutgalleryWoke up with a headache, but didn't dare call in. 1) It's a bit suspicious to only call in on Monday mornings. 2) Other folks take care of your mail while you're sick, but your NOAs, case offers, etc. still pile up. With JJD just coming back, he was going to be busy enough without having to do my work.
Cheryl talked to me in the morning. She ostensibly stopped by to tell me she'd brought in some cookies and such, but then closed my door and said she didn't see a problem with me keeping my job, that ADI doesn't bring the hammer down on people, and everyone's noticed my improvements.
I got most everything done, but had a little I had to put off for the next day. Guess I'm coming in tomorrow, too. I skipped the gym, more because I'm worried I might be contagious than anything else. At 7:30, I suddenly remembered that Tina Maravilla had messaged me about the fundraiser from a few weeks ago. I hadn't heard from her since it happened, which worried me. And then she told me they'd raised nearly 2k. :-O My god. I drove out to Coronado to pick up the cash, and the rest will be a check from her organization.
I had zero energy left after that, so laid on the couch and watched Kimmy Schmidt. It's been a weird season - got off to a rough, overacted start, but ended on a strong note. Kind of the opposite of the first season, really.
Finally, Julian texted me again, asking to take me to lunch or dinner soon. I responded this time. I'm supposed to take Ryan's mom home from the hospital Wed-Fri, maybe over the weekend, so next week is really the soonest. Unfortunately, Julian commented that it shouldn't take two days to take someone to the hospital, and when I showed him the screencap of Ryan asking me, only thought to comment on the unread Scruff symbols at the top of my screen. I have changed, but you still feel the same.
