Ashley First Night

It turns out I wasn't really tired at work yesterday, because I can't imagine what that would have made me today. I did finally get back to the gym though, because putting off your day back only makes it harder when you do go back.

I had Alex over for buzzing when I got home. He was hoping to get fucked, too, but I had to get Ashley. Andy was having a small birthday gathering at his place, but we went for a drink at #1 on Fifth first. Mike & Marc were inside, as I thought they might be. Ashley had never met them - her final conclusion was that Marc is complainey and Mike is sweet as pie. That's accurate. She asked about Sydney, but cut me off. She really wanted to hear about Sydney, and not the men of Sydney. I told her how Chip seems to believe I'm someone like her, and getting us invited to 3 parties in the week I was there, I felt like her.

The gathering at Andy's was fun. I met a chatty gent named Brandon who swore he remembered me from somewhere. He plays softball and poker, so it might have been from one of those places. Ashley and I had a couple drinks, and the tofurky sausages I brought. One of the folks brought a condolences card, which was hilarious.

We headed off to Flick's after, and my night gets blurry from there. I remember that the security guards wanted to refuse entry to Ashley. I never make a scene, so I was all set to just go. Not Ashley, she went and talked to the guard - turns out she just looks like some girl who'd been there starting drama. I have been *fucked up* at Rich's, and they've had a recent spate of people who've been so fucked up that even my younger days look clean, so I can't even imagine what kind of craziness a person would have to start to get banned.
