So this morning, my first day in weeks that I can sleep in until whatever time I want, I wake up at 6, and manage to laze in pseudo-sleep until 7, when a Christmas-morning like giddiness overtakes me, and I am overtaken with absurd amounts of energy. Manic amounts of energy. This is not a bad thing, as I plan on eating absurd amounts of food this evening, and need to burn it all off (and then some)before Dec. 9th, when I want to do Trixie. I say "plan", because I've been thinking about the best way to consume the most food tonight, without eating vast quantities during the peceding days. Amy J (whose lj is lizetta, but I don't know how to do that nifty link thing) suggested a huge breakfast, then nothing for the whole day. I was going to do this, and then I remembered that not too long ago, I ate an enormous breakast at Jyoti-Bihanga's Sunday Brunch Buffet, and wasn't hungry until the next day. So, I ate a fairly large amount of food for dinner last night, and will have nothing today until dinner. This will be difficult, as I'm helping Aimee' cook from 12-7, and there's bound to be scraps, which I am loathe to leave un-consumed. Anyway, assuming I can resist the scraps, at dinner, I will have one plate of small to moderate portions of the entrees. Then I will wait until eveyone else finshes dinner, and we move on to dessert...
Message for Dessert: And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Oh yeah; it's on.

Date: 2005-11-24 11:59 am (UTC)Seriously, my family is full of a bunch of red-blooded American stereotypical carnivores. I only had enough time to make three dishes (spinach with garlic, bread and spicy ginger cookies - all vegan), so I'm hoping that there's going to be food there I can eat. So far the menu is fried turkey, baked turkey, pearl onions in cream sauce, chicken satay, green beans (made in meat juice and with bacon) and mashed poatoes made with butter. ew yo! My family is so unhealthy. They can't even make vegetables without ruining them somehow.
