Zzzzzoooommm Home
May. 6th, 2012 08:40 pmWoke up easily, for having gone to bed so late. We took the train back to Schipol airport, then started the EXTREMELY long process of getting to the plane. Lines everwhere. Lines to print a boarding pass, lines to check passports (Gates 1-57, ABCDE all used the same 2 lines), lines to get through security, of course. Chip had commented earlier that Baron was a very fast airport walker. When I thought we were late to board, I apparently went faster. The flight itself was a little better than the flight over - I was more tired, of course, and took a sleeping pill and a half. Still slept intermittently, but at least I slept. I called a guy about getting lunch, but he got really weird really fast and hung up. Also texted Tom Silk about swinging by to get the photos we took months ago, but he was busy, so is going to try to email them to me instead. Sean picked me up. I'm not sure if it was the AC on the plane, the weather change back to LA, the weird positions I had to sleep in, or some combinations of the above, but I got a nasty sinus headache on the way to his place. He left to get some advil, but a hot shower was apparently all I needed.
He had wanted me to spend the night, but my stomach had been unreliable for the past couple days, and I wasn't sure if I was working on Monday, so I made the drive home instead. Traffic wasn't too bad, though it did make for a total of 13.5 hrs of travel. Yeesh. I considered texting Tim when I got home, but I was exhausticated, so I just went to bed instead.
