Grateful Blanket
Jul. 29th, 2021 03:37 pmI woke up early enough to still lay there with my eyes closed relaxing next to Lady Miss Friday before getting up for work. Felt ready to jump into the day, but the remote connection wouldn't let me pass. Messaged Carl over the Teams Chat, then on the main line, but it took resetting my other computer twice and mine once to get me in. That last might have been simple correlation. I didn't have anything pressing and this gave them time to get the bulk of the eservice done. Gave Juno his shot at his usual time even though I know they're flexible. Also fed them and cleaned their bowls and boxes. I helped Julian wake up at 8:45 and made his coffee. When my connection resurrected I focused on work but Lady Miss Friday was also very insistent about her support. I did an okay job juggling, I think. Carl might have been working on the eservice head start when I checked so I worked up the NOAs we'd received then went back to what eservice accumulated after. Terry knocked on the door in the morning but I didn't hear him through my headphones. Lady Miss Friday went back to her litter box when Julian came home on break, but came out later in the afternoon when I laid on the bed for her. Terry's return came after she'd been laying on me for about an hour, got up for a drink of water, then laid back down. He knocked on the front door, called for me, then knocked on Lady Miss Friday's door. I did have other things I should have been doing by that point so it was convenient, but he just did it to tell me the Chewy order arrived. Nice exercise taking them in, anyway. I started moving forward on my paperwork for the church and it suddenly occurred to me I don't know if I should organize this as a church or religious organization, and even so, I have no idea how the paperwork is different from a regular, everyday nonprofit. Fuck. Netflix was on the outs so Julian browsed through Peacock instead. I'm really excited to see commercials make a comeback. I'd rather factor a little more time into how much I budget for watching TV than pay for it. We watched Modern Family which was fine. He wasn't sure what he wanted for dinner and I offered up a couple potentials from what we've got. He went with the "sausage" bits with pasta, I cooked it up. It was fine. He ate all of his, I had seconds but stopped myself from gorging. It was a good night
