Julian and I decided to elope. That's easier said than done, with apologies to The Essex. While I worked, he struggled through the various forms, directions, and appointments. All of which were invisible to me. In retrospect, I'm actually really impressed with the job he did, to be honest. He found two clerks to perform the ceremony, but the one in Bay Ho was $100 cheaper. Made the appointment for the afternoon and worked through the forms with him. I worked the day as normal, and when Rachel asked what we were wearing, I thought maybe jeans and a T-Shirt might be a bit too casual. Not having many other options, I snagged my Black & White button-down shirts. The ceremony was really lovely and touched even me.
Another friend of Julian's (Frankie? We'll go with Frankie.) had been supposed to be at the wedding, but she was late. They wanted to go out for a drink, but having just dropped $250 on the marriage, I thought drinks at home would be easier and cheaper. There was some sort of history with Frankie, and she asked if she could smoke her methadone or whatever. She also said she'd send her maid for a day as a wedding present. She didn't approve of the rings I bought off Etsy and offered to have some famous jewelry maker upgrade them. I was happy with the rings, but I defused the situation.
As we were getting ready to go, FHA called to let me know Loving Hut was only doing Take-Out - no dining in. I wasn't really very hungry anyway, so that was fine. I brought bags, too, because I don't have any idea how things work. It was wonderful to see Keagan again, we used the Cards again, then Julian went out with Rachel and Frankie.
