Mother's Day

Called my mom in the morning, but she was sleeping. Ran around organizing everything, touched base on timing and direction, then picked up Colleen. Tim had said he had a gift for me, but declined to answer what he got... For my kids. We talked about my history with Julian, and while I didn't go into detail, I didn't gloss over anything, either. I think someone mentioned a shot they wanted to try, and it occurred to me I had no idea where they were, or how many of them survived the moves. Tim pulled out the shot glass I bought for Julian... When I found out he took shots of vodka for breakfast. Being given my shot glasses back was really a kind gesture, and meant a lot to me in terms of my journey and recovery. So naturally, then I blacked out at brunch.

I woke up in the evening. Listened to music with Julian, and he mentioned how awkward it was that I blacked out in front of my birth mother and started talking about the eventual heat death of the universe and how badly I want out. I've been worse. We talked about the overall trip and how wonderful it had thus far been. And was only halfway over! It was legit all of the magic but none of the mayhem from before. I proposed.
