Discipline, for What it's Worth

I woke up around midnight, which was not surprising at all since I hadn't taken my sleeping pills. Updated some things on my phone, gave Lady Miss Friday a snack, and texted both Tim and Julian back. Julian had lost his briefcase, then realized he was holding it. I took just one pill to knock me out again, not really worried about the time frame. I thought about doing that every night, just to reduce my tolerance.

I was expecting an avalanche of NOAs, but there were few enough I tucked into claims instead. I also tucked heavily into the new decaf coffee. I saw Merryweather running around, eventually caught her and put her back in Mouse Kingdom...only to see her running around again 5 minutes later. And Lady Miss Friday was disgruntled all day. There was wind and rain (?), so she kept growling. But she also kept pawing at the foot of my bed like she was trying to bury something. I still have no clue what was wrong. We had a meeting after lunch about training the legal admin assistants, and I learned how to access Zoom from my remote desktop. We'll need to Share Desktops to do it, and there was a hilarious moment where Kathy jokingly asked to see my Desktop. Don't ask Squeak questions you don't want the answer to. On more personal notes, I called Mig, explained what happened, and just like that, they're sending me a replacement. Totally gonna give them 5 stars, etc etc. Obviously it would have been better if I'd just remembered to update my address, but in terms of personal growth, it was more than worth the extra wait. And I finally got around to listening to a few tracks that others posted in the Music Group. As you're aware, I take music very seriously, and I feel like for the group, I really just do not want people's posts getting the Void treatment, where their post is Seen by everyone, but has no reactions. Kristen had posted a young lady named Phoebe Bridgers, but she posted just a whole list of Spotify tracks. I listened to a couple on YouTube instead, and really enjoyed "Motion Sickness." I couldn't get to all of Jesse's, since he goes on rampages, but I did find one by Jonathan Bree, and it turns out I've heard his track "You're So Cool" before. Not really sure when or how, but I was doing a lot of drugs at the time, so I'm not even (very) mad that I can't recall how I heard it.

After work, I really did not have it in me to even try to find something on Netflix. I laid down with Lady Miss Friday instead, and was so tired that I barely managed to make sure to let her out for a bit, and refilled my stray friend's food, too. With any luck, I'll need to buy for more food for them soon. Unsurprisingly, I am *ecstatic* that my stray friend is eating so well. I miss my balcony. Yes, could have been a lot worse, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to have regrets. I'm not a unicorn. When I laid down to sleep, I thought my weed was *finally* hitting me....then realized it had been a while since I took my Seroquel, so it was probably that. Not willing to waste the opportunity, I beat off and it was...weird. The actual act of jerking off was the usual Check Mark, almost thinking of it more as a chore. But the orgasm was pretty stellar. Like...I could feel it reverberating throughout my body for several minutes after.
