EVERYTHING
May. 4th, 2020 07:58 amLady Miss Friday woke me up before my alarm, and even having gone to bed on time last night, I was tired enough to just lay in bed for the two hours before my start time. E-checked in for my MRI, paid the $250 co-pay, cleaned out Mouse Kingdom (finally). My speakers even worked for the first part of the morning....but eventually, it froze, kicked me out of the VPN, and when I got back in, the remote audio died again. :-/
Zipped over for my MRI in the afternoon, was going to run a few errands after, but had to zip home instead. Lady Miss Friday was almost out of food, and that's all that really convinces me to brave the stores and lines and such. I still wasn't willing to wait for TJ's, and even though the insanity is dying down, Ralph's was still out of tofu and fake meats. I've got a little left, and didn't actually find myself that hungry. I had a wrap in the afternoon, and managed to eat the rest of that brick of tofu by the end of the night.
Being me, I naturally ended up making small chat with the nurse during the MRI. She commented on my veins as she was administering the IV, and we ended up talking about drug addiction and feeder mice. I also chatted with the nice young ladies working at Ralph's, and convinced them and the customers behind me to join the Community/Alison Brie fan club. Finally, Brendun posted a link about a crow that constantly asks folks "You alright love?" with an accent, which is sort of life goals here, and I briefly opened up to him.
In checking out more Kellyoke, I saw she covered "Everybody Got Their Something," by Nikka Costa, which is yet another on my Wish List. And then saw the Nicholas apparently tagged me a while back in Kelly's zoom call with Justin Timberlake....and ANNA KENDRICK. Finally, watching Community, I saw some episode where Annie experiences Tit for Tat Politics, but she commits so completely and hyperbolically, I had to pause it because I was laughing too hard and couldn't breathe. A couple times. Later that same episode, I heard a song that sounded vaguely familiar...I looked it up, and it was "More Than This" by Roxy Music. I posted it to the Music Group, eventually clued in that it's his modulation that I love, with the help of FHA. Mitchell commented, noting that apparently the song and group are from the 80's and incredibly famous. I live in a cave.
I stayed up too late. I'm not sure if it was a substance issue - I didn't want to sleep until I could get sufficiently drunk or stoned, or...I dunno.
