It's so cold in my room, which is absurd since I have the thermostat set to 65 and two blankets. I guess I can pile more on, but I'm leery of getting caught in that trap where it's too cold outside my blankets so I bundle up, then I end up sweating under them. Spent some time with Lady Miss Friday, took my heartburn medication, headed down to work. There isn't much to do there right now, but I found out Margaret Weis is writing apart from Tracy Hickman. It'll be interesting to see what her solo work is like.
Heartburn got worse as the morning went on - by 9, I thought I might vomit despite not eating anything, and my saliva production was out of control. I can't see my new doc until February, and I'm not impressed with the waiting times to get to see my current. Not, probably, that I'd have gone anyway. My body will take care of itself. Frustratingly, two of the foods you're supposed to consume to prevent indigestion are already part of my diet (oatmeal and almond milk).
Around 11, eservice still hadn't been done, and when I checked the email for it, nothing had even been opened. I checked with Lynelle and she concluded that Zalma must be out sick again and have emailed Kathy (who is out today). Hurried through that, then took care of Kathy's mail and the remainder of Lindsay's (she leaves at noon).
I started spitting my excess saliva into my coffee mug, and it seemed to help enough that I was able to eat some oatmeal around 1. But by 2:30, I thought I was going to die. Laying down on my side really helped, though, so I did that as much as I could. I'm grateful for my job.
I stopped at the store on the way home and picked up TUMS and Pepto. Not taking any chances. The Pepto seemed to help, and for both of them you're supposed to take them about every hour. As usual, I watched some Netflix until LMF decided I was done, then laid down and read with her until I could reasonably go to bed. Woke up at at 330, took more TUMS, petted her more, and updated my journal. Also responded to a message from Justin, which was just a wordless picture of him giving the peace sign.
