Intimidation

Worked 9-7:30, but left early to meet up with Ashley et al for John's birthday. Got to the BBQ place just as they were closing, and we all headed to Eden. Eden was basically empty, but it was nice to chat with everyone. Also nice was Shazaming a lovely song called "When I'm Small" by Phantogram. Headed to Fiesta's next, which was PACKED. The music started out fairly electronic, but moved to hiphop as the night went on. Had a great time chatting with everyone, even though they were drinking and I was not (Read: you're at a 10. I need you at about a 7). John heard a decent remix of MJ's "Dirty Diana" that I ID'd for him, and Andy heard "Loca People" for the first time.
They called it a night at 12:45, and poor Ashley was still on the party train. I knew in the back of my head that we could basically head to any bar and have an adventure, because she's amazing like that, but having had a long day, and having another one to look forward to tomorrow, I went along with dropping her off.
Back in front of her place, she hugged me goodbye, said she loved me, and as I fumbled for words, said "Just say you love me too, because I know you do." That was sweet, and I explained that I sometimes feel bad that she spends time with me, because I'm simply not on the level of her, or John, or Daniel, etc. etc. etc.
