Pride, Too
Jul. 20th, 2009 07:08 pmSaturday July 19– Got up, the boys had brunch, called around and made plans for the parade. Met Michael over at his place, had a couple cocktails, walked over to the parade. We kept losing everybody, and I kept stopping because I knew someone or other. I saw Eric, which was uncomfortable, and Timmy, who said “hi.” I was especially confused by Timmy, because he removed me from his list, but then tagged me in the “Active Bottoms” photo. Meh. We eventually made our way over to Bite et al, though we couldn't find Sean. Ken tapped out to go home and eat a bite, and it was only after that I talked to eveyone else and found out they were hungry, too. I watched the Parade for a while, got to see the Rocky float. Ran into Meg, who was a little tipsy, and then went into Rich's. Rich's had good music, at least initially, but it was CROWDED. We saw Hank & Jonathan, and hung out with them outside. Ken called, and we wandered around inside until we found everyone. It was a crowded mess, and I was pretty done being there before we finally left for Glenn's. I had a great time there – even got in the pool, and chatted with Nelson, who said I looked really good, and with Abid very briefly. Headed out after that, and napped. Got up, invited Jason out to dinner at Mo's with us, but decided against it at when we saw the line. Saw Jason just in time to take the tram over to Betty's, where we waited an equally long time for a table, but had fun chatting with the boys while we did. Jason and I split a burrito, and there was some weirdness over the bill, but everything was fine. We were going to go out again, but the lines everywhere were ridiculous. Ken went to bed shortly after getting home, and I stayed up chatting and drinking with Chris and Jason. Played Nights, which was okay, but will take some getting used to.
