Friday – Ken left without saying anything or touching me, but sent an e-mail around 8:30 that just had the image from Finding Nemo of Dory saying “Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills”. I declined to state that I wasn't the one who'd declined to touch, or left without saying anything in the morning, and just sent back the smiley giving a kiss instead. He didn't send anything back, so I guess that was okay. I almost didn't make it to class, almost didn't eat, and almost brought vodka with me, but did, did, and didn't. Property tutoring was canceled, and rather than use that time to work, I just journaled a very little bit and listened to Kelly Clarkson. Headed into Torts, where I journaled more. I thought about going up to Nature's Express for lunch, but I didn't really want the excess calories, and I recognized I was EXHAUSTED, so I went upstairs and napped instead. Caught myself starting to snore, and had a half-way decent nap, in spite of obnoxiously loud people talking near me. Headed down to Property, where I FINALLY got caught up on my typed journal, so entered a few of my written entries in. Ken sent an e-mail, that was much more descriptive than his earlier one, thanking me for standing by him when everyone else is telling me to run. It was nice. He sent another after that letting me know he was going to get a new phone after work. I was going to spend some time after school getting more entries in, but some people were using the room, and didn't seem very friendly to interlopers. Amanda was also there, and mentioned that she might be going to Mo's later, but would keep me posted. I stopped at Nature's Express on the way home, but all they had in the discount case was raw hummus and chocolate cupcakes. Bearing in mind the milkshakes we were to have later, I declined the cupcake. Ken wasn't home when I got there, which was unsurprising, so I took Cisco out. Finished there, then walked over to Tj's to get ice cream. I saw Tom, but he was busy, so I didn't say anything. Ken STILL wasn't home when I got back, so I unpacked my computer and journaled more. Ken got home a little after 5:30, with Leo in tow and showed me his phone. It's a touchscreen, and is going to cost him about $50 after rebate and trade in. He mentioned something about his contract, and I sort of tried to hide my astonishment. On the one hand, this is a much smaller thing than the argument we're getting over. On the other, we did argue for 6 months or so over this, if not longer, even though it was going to save him lots of money. Now, though, no problems whatsoever. He asked what was wrong, and I started to tell him, but he interrupted me with a kiss. I finally got around to asking him what exactly he was hoping to accomplish with that. I know I'm easily distracted, but it's not like I'm going to just forget what I was talking about. Usually. He said it was his way of saying “let's talk about this later.” Ugh. He wasn't sure what to have for dinner, and I suggested everything under the sun, but finally hit on Greek. We were all going to get stuff, but the lady on the other line was a complete fucking moron and didn't understand the concept of substitutions. Ken was ready to get something else, but I said I'd just have a milkshake, and at least be okay calorically, if not nutritionally. Took the opportunity while they were away to get cleaned up, and poured myself a drink. They came back, and Leo made a batch of milkshake. I finished mine right quick, and Ken asked if I just couldn't taste that one, and needed another, so I said sure. The boys finished eating, and then pretty much just wasted time. I finally went into our room to lay down myself, and Ken followed. I wasn't really able to sleep, but it was good to lay down. It was ridiculously warm, but I managed to lay there until 9:30. Took Cisco out for his last walk, then poked about online. I still didn't know what I was going to do with my night, but Rich's was looking more and more likely, right up until I read that they were charging a cover. I got ½ off with my pix membership before 11, but I barely felt like going out at all, much less if I had to pay. I looked in the freezer, and there was only about ¼ of the ice cream left. I was pretty upset about that, because if I knew I was going to be the only one having a milkshake, I'd have never bought the stuff in the first place. Ken finally got up a little after 10, and we all had a cocktail. They decided, given the time, not to try to get in early, and fuck the cover. I asked if I could go along – I'd rather spend the time with them than alone, even in straight country. My friend Ashely, who had posted “Destination Unknown” earlier, and gotten a comment from someone else about Top Gun, commented that I was correct thinking it was the song, and mentioned how much she loved the music I played in class. Totally mad my night. Drove down, and Leo bought us all a round. Sander was just going on when we got there, so perfect timing. He was pretty damn good. I definitely prefer Djs who use actual songs, but I enjoyed myself. I got a decent work out, when I was disdainfully regarding all the skanks on the floor. We stayed there until a little after 2:30, then drove home. Ken had a pizza, Leo ate some chips, and I had some tofu, and we watched AbFab. The boys also had another cocktail, but I stuck to water. We finally went to bed a little after 4 or so, and Ken and I ended up making out and the like. He pulled my underwear down, and was touching me all over, but declined to consumate. I'd have loved to have topped, but oh, well.
