You Have No Power Here!
Mar. 3rd, 2009 07:35 pmMonday, March 2 - The plumber was coming by in the morning, so I was supposed to wake Leo up before I left, but he got up on his own. I wasn't going to go home on the break, but I hadn't brought lunch with me, and started feeling woozy. I was going to pick something up locally, or from NE, but I had apparently forgotten my credit card, ID, etc. at home. The guy was still there when I got there, and Leo was in our room with Cisco. He finished just as I was getting ready to leave, and Leo came out, surprised and possibly a little upset to find me there. I had to get back to school, but I said hello to Cisco before I left. I felt bad that I couldn't stay to walk him, but oh, well. Tutoring went well. I guess the questions we went over were the same ones from last week, and we apparently went over them in class as well, but that just reaffirms my hypothesis that Civil Procedure is a separate language from English, and everyone but me has a translator, because I got them right both times in tutoring, and didn't even realize they were being asked in class. Kat asked me about Pokez, and I felt bad that I couldn't give her a more thorough recommendation. Somehow, I ended up taking her up to Nature's Express. She got some stuff from the cafe, a wrap from the cold case, and we both got chik'n strips from the drive through. Again, I can't help but notice they're getting cheap. We both got the “large” strips, and they had the same number in them, but the strips themselves were about ¼ of the size they normally are. *sigh* Ken was already home when I got back, and was very very tired, but we still went over to the store for some very necessary grocery shopping. I almost got bread, but didn't, and almost got fat free non-dairy creamer, but didn't. We did good – we got a little over $100 worth of groceries for $56. We stopped and got Ken a sammich from Quizno's on the way back, and I had a can of beans w/ mayo. Not phenomenal, but tasty. Watched RuPaul's Drag Race – I vehemently disagreed, as did all of the other contestants, with Rebecca Glasscock not being in the bottom two, much less winning. There was nothing even remotely special about her outfit. I did love Lucy Lawless's comment on Nina. “Why's she looking at me like that? Go away! You have no power here!” Hah! I was also disappointed that Bebeh Zahara Benet was in the bottom two. I think if she had just explained her theme to the judges, she'd have done much better, and her girl did the best job lip synching. Lastly, I'm very done with the girls taking their wigs off in their performance.
