Shootin' A Movie
Mar. 2nd, 2009 11:00 pmSunday, March 1 – Woke up slightly hungover, drank some water, ate a chicken patty, put some mini-quiches in the toaster for Ken, took Cisco out for a walk. Nikki came over, as did Timmy, and we all had some mimosas before they left for Viejas. I only managed 1.5, before I had to decline in favor of water. I meant to go swimming before the shoot, but I didn't have the balls to call Chris, since I figured he was at Church/Mo's anyway. I was going to go to Arturo's to swim, but by that time, I didn't have time to drive up to Escondido, swim, then go back down for the shoot. Got there a little early, though there was really nothing for me to do. Aimee unveiled the food a little after 1 – tofurkey & hummus wraps, lemon bars, and brown sugar cookies. Yum! I did okay – I had several wraps, but only about 3-4 lemon bars and cookies each. It sounds like a lot, but that's phenomenal for me. We didn't actually start shooting our stuff until about 2-2:30-ish, I think, and Greg was a pissy, whiny little thing throughout. He even cast off his wig at one point, and was fairly defiant to Aimee. I don't think he'll be back. I talked to Amy and Chris about career prospects, and how I'd rather work 40 hrs./week to start at 60k/year than work 60-80 hrs/week and make 100k/year. I also did a bunch of Nicole's logic homework, and even explained it better to her. Ken texted me just as I was starting to get undressed after the shoot. Perfect timing! I should have stopped for gas, either before or after the shoot, but I didn't. Ken had just woken up from a nap when we got home, and was trying to figure out what to do for dinner, etc. Having eaten so much, I wasn't really keen on a big dinner, but said I'd go where ever he wanted. We settled on Kemo Sabe, and I convinced him to at least use a coupon. He bought a bottle of wine, which I also didn't really want any of, but had some at his insistence. I tried the Tahini Chicken Salad, which originally came out with chicken instead of tofu. Had to send it back, but oh, well. Ken initially waited for me, but a combination of his hunger and my insistence convinced him to start without me. Apparently, the Skirts on Fire was absolutely divine. I enjoyed my salad, or at least the sauces it was served with, though I think I'm going to go with the Good Things Growing from now on. I wasn't going to finish, and Ken had exactly the reaction I was scared of: amazement. I explained that I'm trying not to eat so much, and he seemed to agree, but I finished my meal anyway. We talked a little about how much weight I've been gaining, and he mentioned that all he needed was a little exercise – maybe a walk here and there, and that was probably the same for me. I explained that I walk a good 12-20 blocks each day, and we decided that I need some good, hard cardio, like I was able to get when I had a gym membership. We had dinner, then walked home. I took Cisco out when we got back, and when I came back, Ken was talking to Tightguysd, who wanted to come over and have Ken fuck both of us. Not only was I not really feeling the 3-way, I'm certainly not feeling a 3-way where I don't get a new notch. Besides that, I still needed to do my argument outline. That kept me up until around 12, sometime after Ken had gone to bed, but still before I thought it was going to.
