What's Going On, DJ Dan?
Feb. 28th, 2009 10:47 pmFriday - Long day at school. Property tutoring, then Torts, then Contracts tutoring, then Property. Brought a can of chickpeas with me, but neglected to bring a can opener. There wasn't one anywhere in the building. I finally talked to the coffee-lady, who recommended I check over at the Heavenly deli. The lady there first tried to say they didn't have one, then just that it didn't work. It didn't work, but it did have a triangular opener, so I was able to get it almost half way open. Had to wrestle with it downstairs, but finally got it into a bowl. Delicious, if I hadn't fucked it up with Sweet & Low. Contracts was mostly a waste of time, and so was Property. Ken was already home when I got there, walking Cisco. He started some laundry when he got home, then laid down for a nap. I finished the laundry, then laid down with him. Justin was supposed to join us for dinner, so I waited while Ken texted back and forth with him. Justin finally called, said something to Ken about already having eaten, and Ken said he'd see him soon, but didn't say anything to me. Just called again about 3 min. later, appparently already outside to pick Ken up. Ken started putting his shoes on, then finally awkwardly asked me if I wanted him to pick something up. From? WHAT'S GOING ON? He didn't know where they were going, and didn't want me to be angry. I said I'd be fine on my own and wasn't angry, but I ate 3 cans of food after he left. He came back a little later with Burger King and Justin. We had some cocktails, then Leo came over, followed by Nikki a couple minutes later. Justin headed home, and we headed down to Spin. The music was fantastic, and we got to meet DJ Dan. The only downside was 1) greedy bar tenders who didn't want to give me tap water and 2) pushy straight people. Nikki and Ken decided they were ready to go a little after 1:30, though Leo was still dancing. I offered to stay, but that didn't happen. Daniel picked us up, dropped us off at home, and we went to sleep.
