Appellate Court

Thursday - I was only able to attend half of the Contract's tutoring in the morning, because we went to the State Appellate court. The cases weren't interesting, but the interaction of them with the judges was. I felt continually weaker throughout the day. There was a semi-pricey vegan banquet in Kearny Mesa, and SDYP's meet-up at Mandarin House, and wrestling, and I meant to do one of them, and ended up doing none of them. I was going to just stay home and drink by myself, but Ken suggested I come out to poker with them, so I did. I chatted with Gregg, got to hear "Love On My Mind", etc. We went to Numbers after, but stopped at the taco shop on the way. I thought about getting a burrito, because I always think about getting a burrito, but I was a good boy and declined. We also stopped at Red Room, where tipsy Jill was bartending. I saw some of my former co-workers from Ameritrade, but no one I knew personally, and they certainly didn't say hi to me, either. I thought I saw xboinsd, but didn't say hi to him, either (I'd later find out it wasn't him). There was a Raggae band playing - I guess it's sometimes house, sometimes just a local band, and they have vendors, art shows, etc. At Numbers, the boys weren't feeling it, but I love the crowd there. Everyone is smiling, and laughing, and having a great time. None of the pretentiousness I see at Rich's. Tapped out of there far too soon, then went home. Better than staying home drinking.
